linked one ton escalade (coming back soon)

A Dana 70 still won't be rated to hold like 10,000lbs or more. This will be probably heavier than the car hauler I have now.

You need to snag a tow truck chassis, or something else with a 26000 lb ish gvw...

Is this going to be lifted or how are you going to place the second rear end! Im kind of curious to see how well this is going to be set up.

If I didn't know better I'd think you were from Colorado and inhaled a bit to much of the green. But if anybody has the raw material and crazy work ethic to do it you do. Go for it.

I actually went and watched the episode of extreme 4x4 Greg mentioned and will probably copy that suspension setup pretty closely.

I also tore the front axle apart and started getting ready to rehear it and install the locker to then finish up the steering.

I've actually never drank or smoked in my life haha, probably wouldn't have so many ideas if I did though lol

A part of me wants to say finish one then go for the other but I too have 3 project vehicles and look for more on the daily. Right now im looking for a 1979 f100 again. Lol hope to see some thing happen soon.

You said you are going to make one of d
Bodys a crew cab. Just so i can imagine this is it going to be a ramp truck or flat bed?

I have thought about the 6x6 thing alot. I actually was thinking of doing it off a one ton crew cab myself.

There are a few different ways to do it.

This way seams like the best route to me.

And then there is this as well. I guess this is a pretty commonly used setup too.100_5574.jpg

The second one looks expensive, what transfercase is in the first one? NP200?

I don't know if I like the rear driveshaft mounted to the front axle though?

The bottom one looks like something you could have a machinist friend make. Have a chain case that bolts onto the pinion support. I thought about it before and thats the route I wanted to go

God, it's been a few months since I was diving into all this stuff. I can't remember where I found everything.

As I said it's popular. But it's doesnt have to be an aluminum carrier.
Here's a little read.

I thought I might be able to build this on the cheap from the chain drive out of a np208 or similar transfer case.

That was either a np200 or a 205 that was converted with np200 parts.

Do some reading, it looks like some guys are having success converting np205 to dual rear output.
