The last time I went to Dodge Ridge (2 weeks ago) It was realy bad in between Oakdale and Jamestown. Were talken 25-30 mph for us City Folk the Locals were Mobben up at about 50 mph. But I'm going to be optomistic (sp) and hope that it will be clear.
I guess this means its time to re-level the head lights since the lift 8 months ago.

I will be there on sat and sunday but I don't know if I will stay the night or come home It's only about an hour for me to sonora....

Tranny is in. I haven't put fluid in it to try it out yet though. Truck is still on the rack at work, it's been 3 weeks now and my boss is gettin a little irritated. Front diff guard is on, rear cross member and shock mounts are done. Front 8 lug conversion should be done today. Both rear shocks are in. Things left to do are: 1. finish 8 lug grinding. 2. Reroute exhaust around shocks. 3.Take winch apart and put back together. 4. Build front bumper and mounting setup for winch.
Then I can take a break for a while.

No everybody fishes that one.. This one is called 2 mile.. It goes in to the tualume river.. It is about 25 miles in from the long barn exit.. You have to cross it once to get to the good spots......Dan

so, what are the motel accomodations like? do they have motel 6 and all that in sonora? what about twain harte?

i talked to the boss, and she says it sounds good. we're gonna bring the kids, and we were thinking about bringing the dogs, to play in the snow and stink up my blazer. is this feasible? more on the wheeling aspect, i'm sure the motels don't allow dogs. if we did bring them, it would be a day trip. my map thingie said it's 108 miles, so i can be there in a couple of hours.
maybe i can hook up with burt on saturday morning, but i think he'll get up before my family...

There are I think 3 motels in Sonora and I don't think that they allow pets. Twain Harte has 1 or 2 motels w/no pets. I think that the trip up for you would most likely take 1.5 hours (from the central valley) From Bay area it takes 2 hours at 55-60 MPH. Hope you and your family can make it.

That is my main selling point to the wife for taking the day to head up to the snow with the kids sled and do a snow day!
We have alot going on right now, weekends included, so I still don't know if we can make it but we are trying to clear that day for snow fun

i got stock gears and 35's, baby. can you say "overdrive"? i knew you could.

j/k. even as fast as i drive, i have to account for pee stops, and wrong turns, so 2 hours might be closer to the mark!

These rates are good through 2/1/02-4/30/02 Again these are places that are not only K-9 friendly but K-5 also...

The ammount of rooms that are on the facility is in the second set of Brackets... Give me your input. There are 4 other Motel/Hotel places in Sonora area but they are in the ($95-139) dollar range. Let me know if you want their listings or not...
