Long travel sand rail. Help and ideas needed. PICS UP post #24

VW motors and transaxles make good rails, but compare it to the suby stuff and it makes the VW stuff look pretty weak.

That and all the v-8 rails out there

The single seaters that use bike engines are pretty dang cool too.

Absolutely. There's all kinds of cool chit out there! I think if I ever get the opportunity to go wheeling on a regular basis I'm going to build some sort of tube-chassis something or other. Much easier to get it the way you want it than starting with a truck IMO.

One of my buddies in Ohio could change your opinion on vw buggies... I've seen him do absolutely insane things in a little 2wd buggy that I wouldn't dream of in a 4x4. Plus he knows how to build them plenty fast:thumb:
:waytogo:

Heres what he bought. And also what he would like to do with it sort of. He asked me that the most important part was..... If we buy skye the boots... Will she wear them?? :dunno::thumb::thumb:

Yoshi makes some nice buggies. That his sinister sand sports rig. He is a big poster on minibuggy.net also.

Same setup as most hayabusa motor, I don't think that rig has a fnr box just his older center section. 16-19 in of travel is all you need. Any more gives it too Mich roll and makes it tipsy

Sweet thanks man. Ill be needing all the help I can get lol. BTW this is an ST2 long travel frame.
