It
is clean; very. Which is the primary reason I made the trip. Here is the rundown:
The Good:
NO rust (as far as I can tell in my quick exam) except for the usual on the top of the tail gate. Very minor.
Interior is amazingly clean and intact except for the headliner, which is a bit droopy.
147K original on the ticker. NO issues on CarFax report.
The Bad:
Heater core is bad
Electric window doesn't work at the key but work great at the inside switch. Very fast.
Both windows
very slow and the passenger side blew the fuse.
Problem when I put it in 4X4; the drive shaft turned but slipped in the yoke. Need to look into it.
Smokes on startup, but valve guide seals are a common wear item on these 350's.
The Ugly:
Has 3" body lift. Ugh. Need to replace it with a suspension lift.
Windshield Visor
Side grab handles.
MAROON interior. Gad; I wish it was gray.
All in all, I think it's pretty nice and well worth the $2400 I paid for it. Here are more pics.
Immediate plans are to replace the heater core and fix the drive shaft issue. Then I'm gonna yank the axles and put 1 Ton running gear underneath. I already have a donor truck lined up I think.
