Looking for feedback on all-terrains **ordered

@chris85 I don’t have anything firm planned. I was trying to get there before it got too hot, but missed that opportunity. I have a family trip to Utah the last week of July and first week of August. Then to Whistler for boys trip the second week of September. Other than that, I could make just about anything work. I met a couple of guys up this way that have square burbs that were interested, but also haven’t planned anything. I thinking about earlier November would be fun. Less bugs and humidity, but still mild during the day.

Nov is when a buddy and I are looking into going. Let me know if you try to go around then. I got a lot to do and gear to get to get ready though.

Toyo AT2 or the Cooper AT3’s are my favorites, they last a long time on my diesels so I’d expect them to last even longer on a square!

I had to show my lady last night, we both want to drive it before we move back west next year

I’d definitely be down for getting a group together. I was halfway planning on doing it solo. I’ve got the gpx file for at least one prime campsite. It looks like it should be fairly easy depending on mud. I know that I’ve already told work I wanted off around my birthday. The Thursday-Monday around Nov 10th. I could change it to anything I want if something else is better. I’ve got quite a bit of work to do as well. I’d be bringing the wife and daughters(7&5), as well as, my VERY well behaved dog.

As far as tires, definitely leaning toward one of the Coopers. I’ve added the S/T Maxx to the mix. It’s in between the pro and at3.

Alright....just for some closure. I sacked up and went with the 37x13.50 STT Pro Cooper's .

Ended up being the cheapest tire on my list of 35s and 37s.

eBay through Tire Discounters

They have different ads with different prices for each size. Found the cheapest at $1112 with free shipping. Most other sites wanted $130 plus each for 37s .Some 35s on Tire Rack were free shipping but it was hit or miss. Included in the purchase was a $75 mail in rebate.

I'd been watching the listings and weighing my options. Tonight eBay sent me a quickly expiring 15% off coupon with $100 max value. It brought the tires to $1012 shipped before the rebate.

I figure for $937 shipped, I should jump on it. Hopefully, I don't regret it .

in the whole post I do not see any mention of rim size. That has a lot to do with tire choices. You must have rims that are 15" or 17". I am guessing your rims are 15" or 17" because there are no 37X13.50X16 tires unless you are going with Super Swamper TSL type tires. Hardly any tire company (but Interco) makes tires that are bigger than 35" for 16" rims.

I suppose that’s pertinent information, they are 17’s. I’m new school. 15s and 16s are for spares in the trunk of the grocery getter. :weapon2:

If you would have read very closely, I slipped up and did include it within one post. Once. :D

In all honesty, I sport some poser 17” ATX 181’s

LOL, I guess we will see by this time next weekend. :burb:

Can’t be any worse than the 10 year old KM2’s. I do already have all the factory foam removed and a layer of heat reflector and sound insulation installed throughout the whole cab. I suppose you’re right about the money saved, it’s just that I’ll be putting it toward window seals and felts. I’ve got more wind noise than anything. I’ll add sound dampening to door shells at the same time.

I think you’ll be happy, I have loved every set of Coopers I’ve ever had! Good choice.
