Lost and Found - LS3 6L80 NP205 Full Frame Off

While they're replacing some sheet metal in the rear I went ahead and purchased some tie down rails for the floor and the sides in the back. I got 4 4' lengths with 12 tie down points. It's a pretty cool system that allows movable tie down locations all with 1000# ratings.

These are the same rails they use for securing handicap chairs and equipment in specialized vehicles.
I had them in a mini van I bought but didn't have the hardware just the rails.

The tracks came in today. Paid for general shipping and they came overnight?

I ordered the black ones and was hoping for anodized but they're powder coated. No big deal either way works.

I already love them. 4 4' sticks. 2 for the floor and 2 for the top of the rear walls. I also got 12 mounting points so I should be good for tieing things down.

Went by the shop to discuss mounting the rails. Took a few pics of where they're going.

Also my springs came in and I'm really excited about how nice they'll ride but they look like they were beat with a hammer. Has anyone ever taken their leafs apart and had them powder coated??

Here is where they are smoothing the firewall for vintage air.

Looks can be deceiving. I'm just glad your one of the folks that drop their truck off to have work done at a shop and the shop actually works on it and does consistent progress! I like the rails where they are too!

Hey did you see this guys LS3 swaped step side? His build is on 67-72chevy truck forum. It's pretty nasty to say the least.

Yes if I recall correctly he was building that truck for his dad overseas. To the end he was planning on swapping the drive train into a newer body style C 1500 last I heard he lost his funding from overseas and he ditched the entire project but it is a bad to the bone video.

So the powder coating wouldn't crack as the springs flex?

I would think it would :dunno:
