Lots of stupid in a Craigslist ad.

I want that truck so bad.. it'll go perfectly with my $4500 1982 Sears go- cart w/ the $1600 all terrain tires and the $745 Maglite headlight attached with $325 duct tape and $200 Napa sticker covering the rot hole my $675 broom handle put through the floorboard. Oh and the $325 tazmanian devil mud flaps...

:haha:Fockin' dumbass

I just got an email from the seller.......

"I saw your posts on ck5 and I laughed my ass off. I sent the original owner an email to ask him why the f..k he lied to me. I am going to change the CL ad today. Tell your guys at CK5 thanks. Pretty harsh though haha. Well deserved. "

Pretty good sport by the sound of it. I almost feel sorry for him, he's obviously been given a whopper of a BS story that he didn't know was BS and was repeating most of it in the ad.

I argee, I used to see this all the time when I ran a local motorcycle shop, some one would bring in this "awesome" bike or quad they just bought. Only for me to have to tell them that is a P.O.S. or try to explain there is no such thing as "putting in aftermarket powerbands" :doah:. Someone saw this guy coming and bent him over HARD !

Honestly, the guy is just a victim of crappy information and he knows just enough to get himself in trouble and look like a dumb ass to guys like us that know the ins and outs of these trucks. I deal with guys like this on a very regular basis and it is honestly sad the amount of garbage that has been shoveled into their heads by people trying to make a quick buck. Its really unfortunate that nobody has shot him straight about what he has, especially the people taking his money to work on his rig:rolleyes:

Martin posted it on our local racer forum first and I added comments to it. Still I feel a little sorry if he was that out of the loop. Red is the worst color there is and I hate the Huskers.

At least hes not arguing trying to prove that he is right. If a person is wrong and wont admit they are wrong is the kind of person i cant stand. But yes i feel sorry for people like that who are fed BS and then turn out looking like dumbasses because nobody was there to help them. As my grandfather says, "There are some sorry folks out there."

He has changed his ad from earlier, at the bottom he does thank the forum for pointing out the earlier ad. Still has s few things wrong there such as the ratio of the 203. He was a little confused about it because the PO gave him a sheet with what was done to it, which was obviously BS.Just a guy wanting a 4x4 and someone took advantage of him.

maybe one of our more knowlegable ( sp? ) members could shoot him an e-mail and ask for some better pics and try and educate him a bit to help the guy out a little as he was obviously misguided on what he actually has. Just a thought ;)

Hey guys... I am the infamous owner of this fine automobile!!! haha.... you guys seriously crack me up. I do appreciate Will for emailing me giving me a heads up on the serious bashing I was receiving. But honestly I don't care about the bashing part.... I am glad I can get everything straightened out on this as I don't want to mislead the person that buys the truck. The guy I bought it from is a friend and I think he may have gotten taken on the deal. I paid $3500 for it and spent some extra money getting her up and running.

Any advice would be awesome....

Hey here is another laugh for ya....... me f'in it up out at tuttle creek!

I can't post a Link so go search tuttle creek red chevy on youtube

HAHA... I am an amateur but I had alot of fun being one! Especially with the made up parts. hahahaa

I'm glad you have a good sense of humor about it. I hate that there are so many people out there who don't mind lying to make a quick buck. I'm glad you aren't one of them. :waytogo: A little browsing on this site should provide you with more info than you can shake a stick at. :D

The most glaring incorrect item still on your ad is the 203 low range ratio. It is 2.01:1.

Question on the lift, you mention 2" blocks under the springs. Are they on the front. I'm not sure about your state, but in California the are illegal and IMO very unsafe.:eek1: The rear are okay.

I will look. Pretty sure they are just on the rear.
