Anyone have pics on how they mounted their fpr, the fitting on my supply line going to the rail has also been cut off. I'm thinking of running a hole new line?
And yes, all new line is best. You can cheat a little to get by with parts store quick connects and fuel injection rubber line, but I would only really recommend it for temporary.
way to many guys over complicate or spend crazy money on fuel line stuff I see all the time .
and make sure its done right and shielded from heat . seen a lot of bad fires on ls1tech.com in the last year or so from bad connections or rubber hose.
I've got the vette filter/reg. can anyone help me out with the original female fitting that ties into the sender? That has been cut off as well and I'm not having any luck on it, the guy at napa said it was a gm fitting? Going to try some junk yards this weekend.
There are two ways to go at that fitting. A Russell an connector to allow an line to be threaded on, or Dorman fuel line repair kit. I'll find an example in a sec.
So there is this, by Dorman that allows this to click into place on the fuel rail and allow rubber hose to be slid on over it and clamped in place with fuel injection hose and hose clamps,
Fuel line is in, ran all new socketless system from the tank to the rail. Going to try and start it this afternoon hopefully. Can't get my linkage in on the tranny gonna mess with it tonight.
Dangit! Have you verified fuel pressure? How long did the engine sit before you got it? There have been a handful of people that can't start their swaps because the injectors are clugged/stuck if the engine sat for a good length of time.
