LS swap in my 87 k5

Thanks, I was nervous grinding out the billet for the 5" but they turned out good.

I got my new coil packs in the Mail Saturday along with wires and a maf sensor. Hopefully I'll be off of work this Friday to get some more done, I'm ready to hear it fire up.

I started routing wires and picked out a spot to mount the ECM, and noticed i did not mark the ignition wire that goes to the starter, can anyone help me out on this?

It's a purple one on the original 87 harness coming out of the fuse blockaarea. Just run it right to the starter like original.

Now I can't get my tranny lines tight in the transmission, after I pulled the factory 4le fittings out my old Flares will not tighten up on the lines, I don't no if I need to re flare them or what, either way I'm done for the night needed to wash my truck first nice day in a wile here.

make sure you get one minus the pump . most places will try and sell you one with the pump . and stock pump as you prob know will not work for you . but a pump for a 96 c3500 350 vortec will pop on direct and get the psi you need.

All 5.7 96-97 vortec are the same?

You would have to do a part search. Look up a pump for a 96 and a 97 and see if they are the same part number.

I personally used an ep381.

I bought the pump back a few moths ago, can't remember the part # but it was for a 97 truck. I was on a roll had the bumper, receiver hitch and skid plate all off tank out in under an hour then i noticed the cut line.
