Ironing out some idle issues, and now some transmission hiccups... But she runs good and strong otherwise.
I can tell it's gonna be a BEAST past 4k. Can't friggin wait lol.
I was trying to get a couple different data logs, one soft take off and one hard. And during the hard one it broke free and left short black marks.

.
It's set up to shift at 4k at the moment. So it was brief..... But, .... OH YEAH! Lol.
Those were the first dry ground, non brake assisted, black marks this thing has ever laid.
Idle issue shouldn't be a huge problem. The transmission is buggin me out though.
The transmission was taken out, put on a cart, and pushed to the side. Then put back on the new engine and reinstalled.
Nothing was changed about it or the tune parameters of it.
But it slips a half a second on even a normal soft take off. And shifts softer than it had before.
Normal shifts while moving don't seem to slip, even under load. But almost every take off does.
Which started only after driving it around town a few times.
So it's parked at the moment.
I'm going to change the filter and fluid. Check the pan. Then drain the fluid and rechange it once more after running it a while.
The only thing that changed during this was the fluid.
I had swapped it to Valvoline dex6 before the engine swap, and all was fine.
When I went to put it all back together I noticed I had 2 jugs of O'Rileys dex6 in my cabinet.
One unopened, and one opened partial.
I used those. And that was the only difference.
I don't know why I had those, or how long they'd been in there. Plus, can only imagine and hope that the open one actually contained new dex6.
When pouring them in, they both looked new and I seen no signs otherwise. But I'm changing it as a precaution, and because I know the Valvoline didn't slip.
