LSX454 swapped 95 BASS burb.

Little lower, little cooler, bigger sounds.
I didn't see any shudder?

I did see your pinion nose up a couple of times. What to you have going for those angles, and are you using traditional ujoints, or do you have a cv at the front of the driveshaft?

Just normal U joints.
Can't remember which, but they were highly recommended on a few threads here for the crawler guys.
Haven't ever checked angles because when on its own weight the shaft is basically straight from pinion to trans yoke.

More of that chuffy mark in the burn out. But I'm the vid there clearly wasn't any :dunno:
Need to check pressure again though.

The leaf spring bushings are all perfect. But standard rubber.
Being long azz shackles they're waving around a lot.
I'm curious what would happen if I changed them ALL to solid aluminum sleeves with a bushing like the caltrac fronts.

I mean... Race truck..:dunno:

I didn't see any play by the shock mounts by the way.
It's hard to tell but it did the shudder lightly somewhere in there shortly after I started the vid and after turning around.

Is appears in your video that the shudder/rattle always happens on the shifts between 1st and 2nd ?

Always in 1-2.
Not always during the shift.
It's happened in 1 before the shifta couple times, and it usually always happens after the shift into second is complete and I give it gas to accelerate.
If I just keep the pedal the same and let it shift wherever and as hard as it wants, it really doesn't do it much.
Normally it's after I lift for the shift then get back in it when it's complete.
When it shifts 1-2, instead of the explosive jerk it used to do, it still shifts firm and quick but I get a dull 'fingers on new Tupperware' sound. Like a spring winding up to its limit and stopping.
Kinda like a grunt.
Happens in a half second.
I've tried catching it on vid, but everything else is too loud.

I'm going to try and get a vid of the tail shaft of the trans next. But I couldn't find a good spot with what I could reach laying in a parking lot fast.

I'm hoping being close to the trans will help.
At the same time, I want to have my phone inside recording laying on the tunnel with the windows up and stereo off.

I'll know soon enough.
I'm going to get a good burnout vid out of these, then they'll be bald enough that I'm going to through my spare pair on and see how those do.

I have 2 options., both will get burnt off eventually, so it doesn't matter which way I go lol.
I have 285s on it now that are 31.3ish tall
I also have a set of slightly smaller fronts I can put on, and move my current 275 x30.5" tall fronts to the back.
Or I have an el-cheapo set that look like an easy to burn off compound. Those are 275 x32" tall.

Either way I'll know what these are doing and either should be easier to do burnouts lol.

Heres your problem….tires are wrapping up!…your welcome!

I wish I had enough power to do that to these tires lol.
I do need more pressure.
But a 3 ply sidewall, 112 load range, low profile probably isn't flexing or wrapping much.
Interesting idea.
I'll put 35-40 psi in them tomorrow and try it out
Just because I need air pressure and want to mash the skinny pedal anyway lol.

Don’t you have like 700hp? That should be enough. Heck I can wheel hop my daily Sierra granted it’s a duramax

Time Send It GIF

I'm at part throttle a lot now because I'm always afraid the next send will drop parts all over the street. Lol.
Then every now and then I say F***it and mash the skinny pedal lol.
