How come no body ever mentions just running an eaton posi? I think the Lincoln would benefit and it doesn't have the quirks lockers have. I've got 110k miles on my s10's eaton and it's still going super strong.
everyone always talks about having a press and sacrificial bearings and such... I just don't have the trust in my own patience level to do it right... to much small tedious back and forth tends to become "FOCK IT! throw it together." real easy. hence the reason ive never attempted to learn carbs yet or set rockers/lifters.
Your pattern won't change much. On a Chevy shims are on the outside of the race unlike a Dana. Using the shims it has is usually pretty good start. I've out majority of my bearings on with a hammer. Press is nice if you have one. Not needed either.
