Converting my M1008 from 6.2 Diesel to LQ9 power
I got some wires hooked back up but it's cold and in the 40s where my truck is parked out of the sun. I'll keep working on it this week.
 
Messed with the truck yesterday and my scanner says my cam sensor is getting low voltage? that's new to me? It is giving me codes P0343 (sensor A circuit high bank 1)and P0342 ( circuit low bank 1 ) I replaced my sensor a while back, I ran out of light but ill check the wiring. I went to put on my warm air intake and filter and its missing, so I need to buy a new one from the ebay.

Installed the Dakota digital vss pulse emitter on the np241(nowhere in the instructions does it say take the speed go housing off the t case you need to) now I need to connect it to the harness. I'm trying to do things that will move the project forward with out dealing with the engine. I should do the brakes and rear diff cover while engine stuff is on hold. Also don't believe eBay ship times. Ordered a air filter said 1-5 days, ups says 10 days. Not like I'm in a hurry or anything.
 
I’d pop the rubber plugs and make sure the knock sensors don’t look like barnicles. If they don’t put the plugs in and seal them up with rtv.
I'll eventually do that, I gotta order all the evap, block off stuff and pressure wash it. Rear main seal and new o ring for oil pump and install it
 
I made a deal last night to get a new harness and tune on my PCM, the guy who I got my tune from originally uses a program called C.A.T.S., Im having a guy i know who uses HP tuners do my base tune and build me a new harness, I have always suspected my harness is not right in some way. so a new one will take its place. hopefully i can have it all running with in the next month or so. lq9, new tune on pcm and new harness. today is a good day.
 
So I pulled out what I thought was junk (original engine harness) and it might not be. While I was pulling the 5.3 intake to use on the 6.0 I thought to myself I never checked the egr block off plate to make sure it's sealed. (see photo #2) it wasn't so I think that might have been why it ran like it has a vacuum leak fml. So I swapped it out with a new plate with a better sealing gasket. I installed the 5.3 intake on the 6.0 and gave the engine a bath. Sorry to hijack, but I blew my wad for this year. Between the K5, the epic road trip, the 454, and other goodies I'll have to wait till next year....
