M1008 Cucv Ls Swap Cadolet Build, long range Blazer Bash 2026 prep

Converting my M1008 from 6.2 Diesel to LQ9 power
I bled the hydro assist and it steers pretty well and the power steering pump has quited down some but it still makes noise so I might need replace it. On my old harness I dont think the segment swap for the 4l80 was done correctly becuase I had a check engine light for my solonoids and on the new harness I have no check engine light. I ran the engine up to temp and the fans kick on at 205, man are they loud but the cool the engine down very fast. I'm pretty close to taking it for a spin. Just need to do the brakes and fix the fitting on the fuel sending unit. I do think I need to adjust the bar that sticks off the gas peddel to put a little more tension on the throttle cable as well. Also torque app is awesome I get all the gauges minus oil pressure. I have a older Samsung tablet I'll use as my gauges till I get it all sorted.

Ok. Start planning the first trip.

I tore into the brakes today and man the calipers were toast, I had almost no brake pad left, I also found the a hub socket that will hopefully work. I'll pull the hubs and get to rotors turned tomorrow and repack the bearings and install new calipers and brake pads.

Well it runs and drives, the 4l80 is having a hard time engaging first gear when I shift from park to drive so I'm not sure what is going on, I think it's low on fluid but I'm not sure what else. Anyone have any ideas? I took it down to the end of the lane and back and it drove well. 20221105_113413.jpg20221105_115326.jpg
