Making half doors.

What are the odds of banging your elbow on that sharp corner near the outisde door handle.....???

I bet it'd hurt like hell. Even if you could only fit a small radius there, it might save you a lot of pain later on.

:usaflag:

Xeleventy billion! I know I sure as hell would bash my elbow, forearm, knees, sack, tailbone. Im sure I could hurt my self on that edge 11 way till breackfast. Fix it or I will pester you until your head hurts.:doah: :haha:

seriously your sack??? now that would be hard to do. i mean the doors aren't sexy looking enough to get my sack close to it :haha: :haha:

a.... you really shoul cut the door handle and put a nice radius around that area, makes it easier to lean out to see were you planting you left front..... Oh yea, and the safety thing too.

You can't realy tell in the pictures, but i ground down the edge by the door hadle. It is not sharp enough to cut me or anything. I hear what yall are saying and i will angle it out some more. It will look better that way and no chance of bumping arm or elbow. And how somebody would get there sack caught on the door is beyond me.:haha::haha:

I like the open door idea, but what do you do when you run though a nest of ground bees or something?

Guess that's something we don't have around here. :dunno:

I just couldn't stand to watch it ruin my seats, etc. I want a set of Jeep-like doors so I can take the windows off and put them back on as I please. My buddy leaves his off all the time, and he's gone through about 3 stereo head units and 2 sets of speakers because they get wet.

I could understand using these on a completely gutted mud truck/rock crawler that doesn't have a stereo or anything.

I'm making a set of half doors for my dad and I'm encouraging him to add some snaps and get a canvas insert made. So when bad weather comes up he can snap in some protection.

Where he lives average annual rainfall is 8" and there are 300+ days of sunshine.

I like the idea of snap on windows, would be nice for the winter months too and save a bunch of weight compared to glass and all the mechanicals that go along with it. :waytogo:
