are you planning on running caddy calipers to keep e-brake, or are you just going with d44 calipers?

BlackWidowPerformace e-brake calipers kit #3. They don't look like caddy calipers. They look larger than those. I'll be posting the install later this week.

Here's the 14 Bolt all primed. It's been too cold here in Texas, imagine that! The primer is still wet. I hope adhesion will not be affected. The garage is not heated and is currently about 39*. Do Y'all like the makeshift paint rack? Those are my D60 spring plates, GreatLakes' Offroad Guardian Pinion Yoke Protector and BlackWidowPerformance spacers and brake caliper brackets.

All soon to be black! :D

Awesome buildup!

I read the whole thread, and am most impressed with your Janke motor. The Dyno room photo's are incredible to me, such attention to detail, first class all the way.

Plus, you are very enthusiastic which I always enjoy in a thread.:D

Thanks,

Yes, I'm very excited. I have waited close to 20 years for this, and it's all coming together. I'm going to continue posting as long as others are interested. I'm learning so much and everyone has been awesome!

I'm extremely happy with my 383 stroker. It's incredible. I'm getting a video camera, so I'll be able to tape and record the real engine. It's bad a**!

14 Bolt rolls along and the D60 gets new King Pins

Well,

Slowly but surely progress is being made on the 14 Bolt. Very cold temperatures (20's-30's) have made painting very tedious. It sprays okay, dripping from the cap, and dries forever. Adhesion doesn't seem to be affected. I went to Wally World and picked up a space heater and the garage now is toasty. This truly is aiding the paint drying process.

Over the weekend I helped a friend with his 38" Bogger to be repaired. Small talk led to a shop here locally in Killeen that acid dips and cleans parts. Well trust me when I say, I knew I could use this service. My 14 Bolt hubs were real bad. The axle had definitely been submerged and had water mixed in with the grease. The rust scaling was intense. I took it to the shop and I am absolutely amazed at what I saw, and what was done for me! The price: $20.00. Just look at the pics. You be the judge.

Also, I spoke with Greg today at 4wdfactory.com, just down the road from me. He has a big review on pirate4x4.com. I ordered complete rebuild kits for the upper and lower King Pins, along with the infamous 7/8" hex tool. Here are some pics for you.

If that wasn't enough, Mr. Janke called me today on my 383. He isn't happy that the engine is only producing 525/525. He built it to do much more than that. He asked my permission to open her up, adjust the cam timing and re-dyno it. My MSD Distributor and wires will arrive at his shop tomorrow, so he's going to have it ready again for me on Saturday for a whole round of Dyno testing again! He feels he can get 550/550 out of the engine, while lowering the torque/HP handoff from 5200/5300 RPM's. I will be going and will take more pics and try to have actual video. No promises on the video though. I'll see what I can do. Mr. Janke has embraced me and is treating me like a son. He is a really special person and I cannot say enough about him. I"m definitely getting more than my money from him. I've gained a great new friend, I will cherish forever. He is such a character and a wealth of engine building/racing information.

Enough of my rambling. Here's the pics. Enjoy! Once again, thank you everybody for your support and comments. If you have suggestions, please say them. I will not be offended and I have everything to learn from everyone. This rig is not only a part of me, but a part of y'all. Your trials, mistakes and successes, you chose to pass along.

I hear y'all...

Yes, I am installing ORD's Crossover Steering

Okay, I'll get the tires up off the ground somehow. They are only going to be that way for a few weeks.

Thanks,

Manny

Okay,

No pics yet. But an update

Lisa from Buckstop Truckware emailed me that my front winch bumper was shipped on 12/5. It will be here on or before 12/12. This monster is all of 310 lbs. I've got two PIAA 6" Driving Lights, 520's, and 4 PIAA 4" Off-Road lights, 520's also to mount on that bad boy. Don't forget my WARN 16.5Ti, with Roller Fair-lead and I bought a WinchSaver. www.winchsaver.com.

I'm getting so excited. Countdown to wrench time has started. :D

You'll just have to wait for pics of the new goods till next week. Just a teaser! :wink1:

Not bad for a MALLCRAWLER :haha: Someone's gotta pull out the stuck vehicles in the mall sometime! :wink1:

first I've checked out these posts Manny, let me say thanks for your service, and your help with the wounded.
second......great buildup, awesome engine. Keep the batteries, and tires off the floor though, and definitely keep them out of sight. I heard it wears them out just looking at em.
