Max`s 02 lb7 Sold.upgraded to 2012 LML

Replaced the jounce bumpers in the front end a coulple weeks ago. Mine have been bad for a few years but I just ignored them.... didn’t think they did a lot. Turns out the front end is a lot smother with the new ones installed.
I read about these on the diesel place a log time ago., they are for a 2007 and up Duramax with the z71 option. They are stiffer than the originals and a direct fit.

Nothing left of the old ones , and had a hell of a time getting them off. The nuts were a ball of rust. Had to grind them out. Not much room to get a grinder in there but I got them after a lot of time and some blood.

No pics of the blood? :D

To gory to post.

One side of my old truck was missing those.

I got one side of the sway bar disconnected cause the link was rusted and I just cut it off when I replaced a axle. Can`t tell the difference with out it so I never bothered. Might just pull the rest of it out.

I had the same experience on mine, and replaced with the same bumpers. Turns out those things are REALLY important to the front suspension working correctly.

My new set of 255/85/16 Toyo M55s I’ll get them put on next week.

Looking for a different set of wheels for them, my factory PYO aluminum wheels are wore out! If I can find anything this weekend I’ll use the chrome steel wheels I got.

Ratbag has some 16s doesn’t it......

I’d keep the Steels that are on it on there, I dig it’s current look.
