Mellow wheeling yesterday...some pic's

That's a beautiful area. Truelly awesome. You guys are so lucky to have so much space and stunning scenery.

I freely admit I take all that for granted...until I get out there and start taking pic's.

Link to google map:

You can see this wasn't far from civilization at all. We were between Alouette and Stave lake at the extreme north end of Alouette...basically a ridge between the two i guess. We didn't see Florence lake, or Morgan lake at all :dunno: and the road we were on isn't even on the google map. Even most backroads mapbooks don't have anymore than about 30% of what's out there mapped...

You're not kidding. I was traveling from McBride, BC to Beaver Lodge, AB and we decided to take "highway 40" just outside of Jasper..."Highway 40" is a rutted logging road (dirt) that was less than user friendly even late into the summer...

Yeah the May long weekend usually means tons of car shows, and tons of wheelin going on.

You should have stopped by if you were that close...if you ever get up this way again let me know and we can get together for a beer or something.

I'll have to take you up on that. I'll probably be up there in another couple of months for another round of dealer visits.

Definately beatiful country and I'm spoiled growning up and living in Colorado. I'll touch base when I'm going to be around.

Cool rene. Sounds similar to down here. I think the saying for the sierras is, "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes." Hopefully I'll be able to get up to canada in the not to distant future. Looks like theres plenty of cool places to visit.:pimp: :D

Cool Pics Rene!! But where are the wheelin ones? ;) Y ou guys definately have some nice scenery up there!

The only real wheelin was a couple of the hills were steep with loose medium sized rocks. Nothing worth snapping a pic of, but did require 4WD...to put it in perspective I ran all day at street pressure in the tires too.
