MetalNeverDies 87 K5 *transfercase help!*

As for the rattling mentioned in my previous post, I think I want to go with a Magnaflow. Not sure of the measurements for the muffler though. I did a search and saw several measurements listed.

what LxHxW and what openings do i want? I 3 inch universal Magnaflow cat on it righ tnow, so I would assume a 3 inch inlet and outlet on the muffler. Do i need centered or off set inlet and outlet?

didnt see where it has an O2 bung. what does it generally cost to get one of them welded in?\

also, after looking at my truck the air injection deal is in a completely different hook-up orientation. it is horizontal not vertical like the headers i linked to...

Do the door man exhaust manifolds flow as well as stock does? that is my main concern, headers are a little bit out of my budget in all honesty. but if the doormans flow like crap i dont want to make my motor run any worse than it currently does.

Ended up deciding to just go with the doorman manifold.

Last Saturday I did a compression test on the truck and got between 88-100 psi across the motor. It runs well considering the low compression readings. Guess the majority of my future truck funds are going to be going to the engine.

Last night/ this morning I pulled off the rear drive shaft to inspect the spray and leak of transfer case fluid. The output shaft seal works perfect. As soon as I pulled the shaft out a pool of fluid came out of the tail housing. Is there something I'm missing? I looked for that washer everyone says is the issue. I didn't see one and everything was clean and shiny. Was the case just over full?

I really need some help on that one.

Then I put the shaft back on so it wasn't dripping over the next few days and I started to take out the steering box to replace a few seals. It's quite a bit heavier than it looks, haha!

Apparently I can't post pictures on the webpage with my phone? Guess I will put them up later this morning.

That is a nice, clean, original rig. My vote is not to hack it up. Also, keep the carpet in it. They are loud and obnoxious when you drive around without it.
