I got mine at the dive shop that closed up on van born and the valve was changed by them to more of a gas cylinder type valve so I could use a special fitting they sold me and pipe thread to hook up a high pressure regulator. No I am not certified but a friend at work is and told me about the used cylinders around $100. I have only had it refilled once and it was done there but they didn't ask for my certification. Maybe it was Metro but I don't remember. My tank is an 80 alum. The 96 you mention is a high pressure(5000)? Are you still planning to have them filled or just use as a reciever for an onboard compressor? I am sure any mod would void cert. If you need welding I am also available with a DC stick in my heated garage :D with a 8' :D door. SEE YA ON THE TRAIL

Well... looks like I'm going to need those spare parts myself.
Blew up the left axle shaft and the steering wheel is now upside-down.

Nice one.

I take it you guys aren't getting the blizzard conditions we are up here?

Nah. Just cold with a bunch if ice, sleet and freezing rain. It's days like this that make me glad the Blazer isn't my DD.

Just drove Big Ugly 14 miles each way in 4hi the whole way to go to the parts store. Had morons in minivans riding my ass the entire time...

that sucks.:eek1: call me Kane.

It's cool, man. I get to do something new to the truck! Never tore a steering box apart before. :)

The axle shaft shouldn't take more than an hour or so, since I have a spare shaft assembly.

And yes, I would very much like one of those tanks. :D
