Military Crew Cab Build-Cummins swap.

I love this truck still. Some day my SAS truck with have the same stance. Nice work sir.

I've been driving it quite a bit. Having the qjet rebuilt in place of the edelbrock.

Spray bombed the bed flat black, was rusting where the paint was flaked. Hauled it do the muffler shop and had some of the leaks fixed.

I've got an idle video uploading, I'll post it later.

I need headers, but my motor sits so low in the frame that the smog manifolds nearly hit the frame. Is there a difference between big block and diesel motor mounts? I know they're worn, but worn mouts I've had before didnt's sit this low. So I suspect there's a difference in mounts thats got the motor sat so low. Any input?

I bet you have Two wheel drive motor mounts on that BB...4x4 mounts are 3/4" taller.

I have a thread about it. I`ll dig it up and add it here.

So for the 4th time I've lost water pump gaskets. The first time it pushed the gaskets out. Second time it loosened the bolts. Third time I loctited the bolts and they worked loose again. Proper torque, overtight, just gaskets, gaskets with GM sealant. Last time I bought a new delco pump with gm gaskets. Ran a few hundred miles. Checked torque a few times. Got home today, pissing fluid. I'm to the point of drilling safety wire holes and wiring the bolts. Is there something I'm missing? Worn holes in the block? Bolts look good.

So I've got this OBS yukon denali (think early escalade) I bought to fix and sell a year or so ago. And I'm considering pulling the seats out of it and putting in the crew cab. Will OBS yukon seats fit in a crew cab? I searched a bit and didnt have much luck.

If you're talkin the 99-06 they should fit with some work. I almost bought a crew cab with a set in it. It fit, but it was too high and close to the steering wheel. I'm not sure the guy that installed them knew what he was doing. Or he was short......:D

I'm talking 88-98 seats. I've seen the NBS 99-07 seats in, but I dont have a full set of those worth putting in. These are power heat and leather also

With a little bit of imagination I would think it wouldn't be too hard to do. Heated is nice! Never thought I'd be into it until we got them in our new GMC. Almost look forward to long road trips now!

Well I got the waterpump changed again. The balancer was loose. Went for a drive and something in the clutch came apart. I think throwout bearing failed. Slave pushes the fork with no resistance. Sold the Yukon to pay for the clutch change, so no fancy seats.

Just wear your fancy pants. It'll make up for it...

Found the problem.

Now the hubs wont unlock, the fan clutch seized, and the master is leaking at an alarming rate. Also, the waterpump is leaking again from the lower right bolt hole. I'm about to set it on fire.

Last time I seen a clutch like that was after my mom's new clutch in the Pontiac J2000 suddenly quit working during a gear jam session . Dad was NOT impressed lol. Clutch was 4 days old. Needless to say I did a lot of the work to fix it:doah:

Don't lose heart too quick with it. Sometimes they test ya to see if you stick with it. My burb did. And now it's stuck with me wether it likes it or not. It'll all function together at some point and you'll love it then

Did RTV. Did teflon tape. Liquid teflon. Locktite. Covered the shank of the bolt in RTV. I think the pump may have a cracked housing. I'm going to pull it again later this week, put the old pump back on and see if that stops the bolt hole leak.

Sounds like the cooling system is under a buttload of pressure to me.
