here's the sitrep.
M.E.'s 2767-20 impact is legendary for its strength and longevity. Wonderful tool. I finally broke down and bought one.

Well, in August they made some revisions. In order to save a few pennies they took out some parts.
Now they're breaking right off the shelf. One guy one you tube had the home depot manager testing them, broke 7 right out of the box.

The good one has a model number beginning with 95A.

The junkers start with 95B. Of course the one I just bought is the junker.

There's a detailed video out, I'll find it and post it here.

That is a great find sir. Thanks for posting.

Seen that the other day. Just goes to show that procrastination is a b!tch.

I've wanted one of those for a while and was going to pick one up on end of year sales.... Guess I'm not now :doah:

Ya'll are welcome. Don't want Ya'll making the mistake I made...
I contacted M.E., asked if I could buy the parts to make mine an A.
Haven't heard a peep.
Trying to locate an online source, I'm trying to fix it before it breaks.

Found an online store, ordered the old parts for under $70. Just hoping there not back ordered.

I had a side by side diagram with the A and the B.
It looks like it will be a straight swap judging by the part numbers. If they're not back ordered I'll let you know soon enough.

Man and we hyped em up so much just for you to land with a dud. We didn’t know we swear!
Lol no biggie. I reckon they're using 3rd world engineers for their 1st world greedy boardrooms...

Yeah this has been all the rage on the Waukee groups on FB the last few weeks... mines 2 or 3 yrs old...

Glad I bought mine back in March. Thing has been a lot more handy than I thought it would be. Although the charger it came with died after 2 uses and Milwaukee wouldn't warranty it and wanted me to pay an $80 repair fee on it. Bought the same part number from Amazon for $30.

Okay, Milwaukee has made a statement via The Torque Channel which broke the story. They are pulling the B series and replacing them with the A series.

They are honoring all warranties on tools from AUTHORIZED OUTLETS.

I bought mine from an Ebay store, so I'm s.o
L. Lol

That was my plan B. They make adapters so I can use my brand new virgin milwaukee batteries...

still waiting on parts....

Yeah, if I had waited I would have bought that.
I got the most of the good parts in today. This is the main one, still waiting on a bearing..
