not much tech, but i finally threw the 2.5's under the k5. Here is what came out, and here is how she sits now... in all her redneck glory, ha.

Looks good, 2.5 ton k5 dually....lol... did you put shafts on and get to drive it like that yet..? A friend of mine did a hub swap and welded new centers in his wheels from red barn customs....this looks real good, cant wait to see it with single rear wheels and the big tires...

hey k5 krawler 50 i would put on the 47 ltb and ditch the 46 no claws or the directional iroks and they are cheaper than both ....just throwing it out there....anf the 47 ltb are way better in the mud than both 
recentered 24 bolt H1s with 47 LTBs FTW!!!

lol, yea it wont be a dually for long... i will be tearing apart the hubs and flipping them. There are no dshafts, brakes, or steering yet, but it is all in the works.
I will be taking the front hubs off this upcoming week and dropping them off with the bus rotors at the local machine shop so they can be put together. For now i will be running a DIY pinion brake out back until i can afford another set of bus rotors.
I have to fix my pinion angle up front. I'm running lifted 52's with the DIY b52 kit, and even with the dana 60 my angles were all jacked up. So i will be contacting kert to see what we can do for creating something similar with more of a drop down effect in the front and a shorter shackle in the rear to help cure my jacked up angles.
Being in school an hour away from my truck makes it difficult to get things done but hopefully by summer time it will 90 percent complete. THe wheels and tires are going to break the bank, lol. I'm looking at going with some stazworks 20" double beadlocks and either 44" pitbulls, 47" growlers, or 49" iroks... only time(and money) will tell thou.

For the record, I've been using SolidWorks for the first time in a while, and I definitely tried to rotate your model in those screen shots with my mouse, haha. Just in the zone I guess.. Cool build though, unique project and I look forward to seeing it develop.

I liked the way your truck looked before. Seemed to flex well too, even with 8" lift 52/56's.But I'm "old school".
How did it all handle on and off road with the way you had it before?
Everything about the truck is still the same. the only thing that changed was axles, tire choices, and finally getting a front driveshaft.. I'm torn between 49" iroks, or 47" growlers, (and if pitbull ever comes out with a 47" rocker in a 20" wheel then i will get those for sure)
It handled suprisingly decent for the way it was designed. It would drive fine on the road and it would see speeds around 65-70 mph. Everyone who ever rode with me was completely shocked that it handled the way it did on the road. I never really took it off road due to the lack of a front drive shaft, but from countless times taking it out and doing poser shots with it, it seemed to flex well.
Like obijuan said thems the tiny 44's, lol
haha thats funny. i love 3d cad programs. It is way fun stuff. I have my rear brake system for the rockwells all designed up in Pro/E along with countless other parts that hopefully i can build someday.

alright so i'm bringing this back up. After a long time and not having time to work on my truck due to school and work, i was able to save some cash and i started buying parts. I have acquired another steer rockwell for the rear, the front will be 4-linked with coils using ballistic parts (they should be shipping tomorrow) and i will be doing a custom wheel disc brake that clears 17" wheels. Last but not least i was able to pick these up and hopefully i'll be able to wrap them in some sweet stazworks double locks.
anyways, stay tuned because i'm going to start doing the machine work on the rockwell hubs this weekend, and if my ballistic brackets show up next week all that will be getting welded on and ready to be thrown under.

Thanks guys! I'll try and get updates as stuff happens! My goal for the summer is to get the new tires on, all the brake stuff complete, and finish up the front suspension. I would like to get the steering and doubler set up, but due to funds being limited because of school, that might not happen, but we will see.
