MNorby's Goat - Ibex build

Looks awesome  It's really coming together :waytogo:

So is the interior stuff ibex as well ?

Well that makes things a little easier, they don't mess around with these chassis in a box anymore.

really considering this after my shop gets built. Sell / scrap my current rig minus the 60, build the wife a Jeep that I can bomb around in and build a 4 seater.

If I had the money Jess its what I would be doing, building a buggy that is. I would like to do my own chassis at least once in my life

Playing around with winch/fairlead mount. Not overly sure on it yet.

looks good Matt, do you have other options for mounting location for the winch?

Just up front and center. I am thinking of an added tube across front for a bumper.

I think that would be a great idea, would it hamper the ability to get the winch out with the bar in there? Radiator going up front? Coolers? just don't know what your doing about logistics of all that in there?

Radiator will go up front behind winch and layer back a little. Oil cooler might go up front but maybe go in back along with an accumulator. Trans cooler will go in back for sure.
If I do a bumper tube it will be straight ahead of the lower front tube and be about even with the hood tube.

so if a bar in front, could the winch still come out the front if needed, or will you have room to get it out the top after all the coolers are in there?

Yeah any coolers up front would be behind winch still. I also have a slot/fairlead straight down below winch for suckdown routing.

OK, I"m picturing it now!
I like the idea of being able to suck down the nose!

Might as well add this too since it's the most wheeling driving I have done in the last few months.

Thanks Michael:

Yeah it gets kinda top heavy and light on the front with the camera hanging off the back of it. Panic reverse!

Matt have you checked the Ibex build on extreme 4x4?
