MNorby's Goat - Ibex build

Is this airtime? Where do you go from here? Left? :eek1:

Can see that ledge in this picture. Can see the V notch he is coming down and we played in the next notch to the right and that picture was the next right of that on the wall then go up and turn left. There is a decent undercut the drivers rear would get into on that rock though and being aired up to 15 for running around the course and being wet after a downpour and not having the suck down hooked up it was pretty slim chance of making that line that night. Sure tried though and gave everyone a show balancing on the rear tires after each attempt.

Video of the U4 cars coming down that section. Was pretty easy since it was down but did break a couple rigs. Still too easy when they can traverse that section in front or rear drive only.

:eek1: The pass side door of that S-10 took a hit on that flop!!

Rig is looking good Matt! :pimp:

Video from snow wheeling last weekend. Weather has been seasonably warm and snow was crusted and sugary, flat tires and wheel speed seemed to be the ticket more than trying to pack it and stay on top. The recovery hoops I added from Goatbuilt worked good. Thawed it out in the shop Monday then went out at lunch and broke something in the tranny or case playing in the snow drifts around the shop. Feels like splines slipping if any pressure on rig at all then will try to lock up. Makes think differential but seems to happen in 2 or 4, hi or low. Start to investigate that this weekend.

great video Matt, ever feel like your getting pulled off the side of the trail just alittle TOO much?
That can be a butt pucker when there's a nice drop off!

Advance has had my case all January, figured they might be backlogged with KOH and all so went ahead and started work on the rear end. Used a ballistic fab shave kit and added some AR plat to the bottom for a little extra thickness and skidability to the bottom. Leveled and rotated rear end and used water to make my cut mark for the initial cut with the sawzall. Kept chipping carbide tips so just turned the ring gear with a grinder on the lathe. Switched to a Artec pinion guard that is flush with the bottom of the differential housing. Made my own truss tie-in off of it. Also got the new to me tars on.

Tried out the new tires, didn't get many pics but seem to work well.
