More emissions BS. 88 blazer failed DEQ***PASSED***

Then i sat in line for almost a half hour.

Thats not good. If you have to sit for any amount of time more than 3 minutes or so, put in park and bring the RPM up around the 2200 mark. Gotta keep the cat, o2, and combustion chambers HOT!!

i guess what i'd like to know is, if i had a brand new engine, cat etc and went in there without puttin crap in my tank and reving my motor and heating my cat, would the damn thing pass?:dunno:

did a brand new 88 k5 blazer emit less than 220 HCs?

You dont need to change your address at all. Just the vehicles address like on the form i posted on the right side of line 10.

The stuff you pour in the tank just cleans the injectors and carbon deposits on the valves and heads. You run a tank of gas with it and the do a fill up without any additives then take the test. The additive does not add O2 to the gas as previously suggested.
If you have high hydrocarbon reading it's because of gas not being burned, possibly a dead cylinder. What did the plugs look like when you pulled them?

the plugs looked pretty damn decent. certainly no black oily ones like i've seen with a dead hole. guess i could do a comp. test. but i don't really see the point

Also, on my third attempt, my CO levels were a little hight too, but they weren't the other 2 times :dunno:

Do you know someone who could scan it for you? I really wonder if your o2 sensor is getting lazy, and going open loop too easily at idle.

Come over to my place. Course its on the east side. And i work swing shift... So that doesnt help. But, if we can work out a time i would be happy to do it! Also, Do you have a lap top? Cause you could even just borrow my cable if you wanted to use it over an extended period of time.

If you don't have mothers day plans, i'm free pretty much all day today...

Otherwise, we'll figure something out during the week. I work on the east side quite a bit. I can drive the blazer in instead of the gmc

I'm not sure what my evening plans are just yet still. Depends on what my moms schedule is today. But if I end up at the house all day then today is good. Otherwise, any day of the week (except Wednesday) is good for me in the mornings.

Ok turns out I am going up to my moms in kalama. Be back this evening if you wanna do it tonight. Or else whatever works.
