More free work done by me!

Good to know, I'm planning on picking one up soon.

I got a decent price from CCOR. They are in the vender section. It's worth calling a few guys because sometimes they can do better over the phone.

I like to set up a labor swap for bigger jobs. Giving away time is like taking time from my family and almost everybody is useful at something. Most guys aren't broke AND working 80 hours a week. So you swap a head gasket and they cut your grass a few times or whatever. Best case is that later they have some skill you don't and they can help you with a masonry project or something. A good friend is going to give you help back on a regular basis and if someone doesn't eventually you have to cut them off. Well widows and orphans aside....

Have you ever installed a spartan locker? They are basically the same as the lockright, but they have these little pins that hold the springs together for installing. I find it a lot easier than the lockright.

I didn't buy the locker, that was on him.

As for the springs, as opposed to ripping the entire front axle apart, and having to remove the ring gear from the carrier, I didn't think the springs were a very big deal.

I didn't have to pull the ring and carrier for the Spartan. I struggle with the springs a little bit, but maybe I just don't have the strongest fingers. The springs definitely are not a big deal, but given the choice, I would go Spartan.

The center pin won't come out of the Dana 44 without removing the ring gear from the carrier.

I guess I should be glad I have a 10 bolt for once...

haha

I would rather have a 10 bolt as opposed to a Dana 44.

If I were to choose between such silly little axles.

It now has my distributor, fan, and fan shroud in it.

Oh, and then I fed them ribs when we got done.

They did bring their own beer.
