I’m yanking the axles from my current blazer and will need to get it on a trailer to get it to the scrap yard. How have y’all moved vehicles with no axles and tires around without a fork lift? I was thinking about building a small frame with some casters that bolts to the frame.

I bolted a pair of 4x4 wood posts into the front hanger for the rear springs on a Suburban chassis. Left a harbor freight 4 castor furniture dolly under the front. Drug it out of the garage. Jacked up the front so my buddy could get under it, then pulled it up with a winch.

The wood kept the frame from digging into the concrete.

@sweetk30 sounds like an excuse for me to buy a Milwaukee m18 1/2” impact.

I should clarify I’m keeping my springs. Custom ord’s going right back on another blazer.
My local junkyard will send a rollback over and pick up scrap. You might want to call around and see if that's an option.

x2 . when i was towing we did this a lot for the local junk yard . couple 2x6 planks and slide on/off real easy . . . of a aluminum deck rollback tilted up good .

No one’s going to ask about this Blazer you are scrapping? Lol
I’ll sell it if you are interested. But there’s nothing worth saving. Every panel has rust and dents, windshield frame is rotten, roof is rotten. Frame is good though. Hood is probably worth saving. Both bumpers are twisted. Grille is cracked and broken. Doors are gone. Removable top is cut apart. Tailgate might be worth saving.

Sounds like you've got it covered, but a good sawzall blade will make short work of cutting a cab into manageable sections.

tailgates are hard to find

Dropped it on the floor in my garage and posted on a local fb group that if someone came and got it they can have it got a ton of responses quick and someone came and figured out how to do it

Assist rods? You mean bitch arms? This tail gate requires you to man handle all 100lbs of it to close and open it.

How many floor jacks do you have?? Can you get the frame high enough to back your trailer under it? Then if you have a winch on the front of the trailer you can suck it farther.
Or cut it up.
