Been getting alot done this weekend. Its really looking like i will be able to make it up to silver this weekend for a test day. Fingers crossed 
Anyways. New ruff stuff panhard mount.
With swapping in the th400 2wd i needed to lengthen my driveshaft so i cut up my old one and was able to save my yoke and my slip. I thru those on the lathe and re trued them up and then i also ordred a machined piece of tube and then welded it all up. Now question for someone. What is the difference between 1310 and 1350? Are the u joint caps the same diameter but just longer? The reason i ask is my slip and yoke on my d shaft are 1310. But the yoke on the tranny and 60 are wider then the 1310 u joints, but the same diameter?

Well the blazer finally moves under its own power. i am super releaved to find out my new craigslist tranny works i was a little nervous about that, but its good. I still have alot of little things to knock off the checklist, but its getting very close. It felt awesome the drive this thing around the field today, but it took every ounce of patience i had to keep my foot off the skinny pedal and go into full blazer race mode, as some things are loose and only hand tightened and i still need to do a good once over on everything. But the time is very near.....Chevy race blazer will be in the sand soon
And in the last week of my mad dash push i have thrown all of my usually good shop tidyness out the window and my shop is a flat out train wreck so i know ill be spending 2 hours tomorrow putting things away properly and cleaning. I got so excited to get the blazer outside bit there were so many tools around amd under the blazer i just grabbed a shop broom and swept them into this pile out of the way. Haha

Man after my own heart. How many times have you cleaned up just to make another mess? I swear I clean as much as I work on stuff. Looks good dude can't wait to see full race blazer Oprah big ol brownie flying high like a whale in the sky!

Thanks Guys. Yah the last 2 weeks have been a blurr. I have put in a lot of garage time and I'm pumped to see it pay off. The truck is no where near "done" I have just been trying to get it back going so that I can start enjoying it again. I still have some upgrades that need to be done that I will do in the next month or so. I need gears. Need to mount my front air bumps. Need to do some gauge and wiring work. and need to do a lot more cage work. But at this point I can still take it out and have a lot of fun with it how its set up now. It will just better as I knock more off the list.
I got Cummins parts all over the place... I can't even get my lawn tractor in the shop right now....looks good Nate, nice job on the driveshaft...just don't go painting no hokey cartoons on it now!..
It is amazing how many tools you can use, even if you start with a clean work space.
Well 3/4s of the tools in the pic where the wrong tool or wrong size for what i actually needed so only 1/4 of those tools even got used. Im pretty good at grabbing the wrong tool walking back to the truck crawling under it, get situated and then go SOB wrong tool. Then crawl back out and try again and instead of take the wrong tool back and put it away just toss it somewhere.
Are you running a CV at the T-case?

I dont have a t case. I am running a 2wd TH400. So no I dont have a cv. Just a slip d shaft.
Had to get my bunps filled so used it as a good exuse to try out my new trailer i just bought and see how the blazer fit on it and how it pulled behind the 6.7. Happy with it and now my bumps are filled one more thing off the list.

After the beating nate put on Oprah last summer with no bumps, I was super surprised when i checked all the shocks today to see that they were all still holding at 200 psi.
Yes i was very suprised by that actually. I was certain i had a few shock blow outs. Guess i just didnt drive it hard enough

Im sure a couple other odds and ends but that is what is on my mind at the moment
Did you dynamically balance the d-shaft? I'll skip the back and forth and assume no... why not?
I asked about the cv because I noticed the pinion was pointing up at the transmission. Vibes will be an issue no?
