MUCV(Multi-Purpose Utility Command Vehicle)...The Dirtybus...

yep, ok gotcha now....I recall that kinda thing before now that you show it.

Hey Dirty I saw on Craigslist last night a Grey Hound bus that someone started converting going for 10K. Imagine the possibilities, and rivets!! :eek1: :haha:

A Grey Hound would be tits... All kinds of storage under those things... And most already have a crapper...:D

Not sure about the rivets... Thomas build buses have screws on the inside...:doah:

But, the more I research, the more I find out about my bus being sought after because of the size, front engine and running gear...:woot:

for rivets grinding wheel or drill then air hammer have worked wonders for me. You don't have to grind all the way down just a little then hit it with the air hammer. :)

So, we got the side door closed up and skinned the windows on the passenger side... Getting closer... Still have some rivets on the inside to deal with, I'll get to them later... Right now I'm pushing to get the outside buttoned up and paint it this week...

Got home and sat down in the recliner and fell asleep...

Only sleep for about an hour, then went out to start putting in the windows...

Still have some rivets to put in on the outside, but I wanted to get the windows in before finishing it all up...

you gonna keep the stop signs???? haha

that thing looked total mad max before you put the windows in. just needed a turrit with spikes sticking out on top:D

It's actually illegal to keep the stop sign the way it is... If I change the shape and color it's not...

So, I'm thinking about grinding it into a circle and painting it yellow with a smiley face on it...

Then when it opens it'll say, "SHOW ME YOUR BOOBS", on the back...:woot:

It looks pretty mean in person, the bus sits kinda high... As soon as it gets painted it'll look way more like an expedition type rig...

Then there's the deck on top eventually and a huge brush guard I want to build... I plan on doing a roof rack with KC lights toward the front...:D

The disco ball might be an issue with the projector, playing everyone's wheeling videos at night while drinking around the campfire...:D

Gawd I want one.

I'm working on it with the little lady... not going well... not going well.

I took mine out and showed her some toy haulers, how much they cost and the fact that we couldn't get one that would haul the Blazer... Made sure that she saw the price tags as well...:D

Then showed her some high end RVs that would be able to tow the Blazer and pointed out the price tags...:eek1:

Then I started showing her other skoolie builds online and how they could be built for our needs and not all the other stupid crap that I pointed out on the other RVs...

When I found my bus, she was on the path toward a skoolie... Then I showed her how much it cost and what we would have to pay to get something else that stout... I took her to a couple places and she saw the cost of buying everything for the inside, then I started showing her used stuff on CL... She was on board by then...

Then I told her she would have a wood stove and showed her the one I ordered... Now she all excited about it... She's telling her friends how cool it is...:haha:

Not much of an update, I've been avoiding the rain and last week had to get the Blazer ready for a run... This week it's nice and sunny out and I'm hoping to get it painted...

I'm gonna try the single-stage kit on the bus...

Here's what I got for a top coat... Free from a buddy... 2 gallons with hardener...

And this is what I picked up today for primer... Smallest they sell is a gallon, so I'll use it on the floor on the inside also...

We'll see how it turns out... I'm into it for $40, that's cheaper than Rustoleum... This is industrial stuff they use to paint Semi's...

my old shop teacher painted his bus with tractor paint. It worked quite well. Glad to see your still up to no good! :D
