muddysub's JHF buggy

Done messing with leaf springs and bodies, time to commit.
I have the same cover but still haven't gotten as far as cutting the housing yet.
I did a little bit of research online to see what people had done with these and found most of them leave the plug in, cut through it and then weld up the remaining hole inside and out. I might even add some plate to the inside to fill in that rectangular low spot inside the housing.

Not much to update with right now. Waiting on seats, harnesses, shocks, fuel cell, atlas, a backbone truss, a few engine parts, link bars and hardware, etc... I’ll probably clean the garage this weekend, not much else to be done right now.

I didn’t know about that!? Nice!

That should be perky! :waytogo:
I hope so. According to the YouTubes it should make close to 500hp/500ftlbs, idle well enough for decent low speed control and still chopchop just a little. The buggy should be under 4000lbs, should be fun to drive haha!

@muddysub So next question, have you nailed down what wheelbase your shooting for? I’m really torn on mine.

Mild use hahaha.
They make 2 different misalignment spacers. The long version is really high angle. I went with the long ones, was told I would be breaking bolts with the longer length. After 16 years of mild use, not one broken bolt.
