Muddysub's Toyota crawler.

Can you just weld a piece of 1/4 or 3/8 strap to the top of your perch and drill the holes? Then you wouldn’t have to mess around with cutting anything off and it would be cheap. I like cheap... lol

I certainly could, never thought of that actually.

I carry a mini sledgehammer in Twinkie just to pound the leaves back in the place

I’ve had to do that a time or two on friend’s rigs. Mine don’t ever fan out, the existing springs still have clamps on them.

Man this is frustrating, my spring swap parts from Ruffstuff we’re supposed to be here Monday, for some reason they’ve been in Seattle for three days now. I wanted to get this shit done this weekend.

I hate that shit.

We were having trouble like that with the local UPS distribution center. Things would just get hung up there a couple days. Doesn't seem to happening so much anymore, I figure they had personnel issues.

I remember a couple of years ago I had ordered a Christmas gift from my wife shipping from Vermont. I was checking the shipping each day as it was headed my way. All of a sudden it took a detour to some other part of the country. I was like WTF is going on. Luckily the company sent me another one that arrived pronto. I did finally get the original order and returned it to the company.

I drove the yota to the shop today and got the rear suspension cut off. I hit McFaddendale hardware and got the18mm drill bit, M16 and M18 hardware I need. Throughout the week I’ll get the shackles and hangers drilled to the correct sizes and try to get things measured up and tacked in place. I hope to finish it this coming weekend.

The shackle hangers are getting reused, I’m relocating them to the back end of the frame. I had to cut the recovery points off to make room, I’ll probably weld one of them back on right under the license plate.

I feel the same way, my rear springs/shackles were already my bash point. They’ll be out there a little further than they were but I’ll probably gain a little wheelbase while I’m at it so it may not be so bad.

Thanks man! I do too, it’s a lot of fun to drive and it’s made me a better driver too.
Yeah I saw you on the trail to sema videos. I didn’t think they gave you enough screentime though. You should have given some of those obstacles this guy’s approach.
Lol but I’m a big fan of this truck too.
