This is going to be a fun build for me. I’ll start with the photos of when I first owned it back in 2012 and to when I sold it in 2015.
A friend of mine found it for sale of marketplace this last February. And here’s how I received it back.
I don’t have any photos of me doing the sas conversation. Obviously this is the first Dana 60 swap I did before the Tahoe build.

Not a big block. And not gutted. At least not when I got it back. It has the 6.5 turbo diesel. I had nothing but problems out of the 6.5 when I had it. I didn’t know the right people at the time to help me keep it running right. That’s why I sold it back in February of 2015. Apparently, the guy I sold to to had some problems as well. It was found abandoned on some rental property. Hood was off and engine partially removed. It had been sitting that way for nearly 10 years. The 6.5 as well as the turbo were completely weather locked. There was less than 1000 miles put on the truck from the time I sold it.
I love the 6.5L. That would be my choice.

Gonna try to keep it tame for now. Just need to get her on the road.
It’s super simple with just turbo injectors and timing to get silly with it. That’s still tame by most standards.
I will certainly be asking you for ideas once I can make this thing go forward and backwards on its own.
What transmission are you planning on?
Afc live, 5x14, 20 degrees and a matching turbo will make that very fun to drive while still staying together on a full chili pull. About 450/900
