My '70 C/10 - The Rat Bastard... [Won't Idle.]

Hey Mike I didn't mean for my concern for the blocks to be a stab at your build or taken negatively. I have only ever seen them used once and was just sharing what happened. I haven't done my research on building a lowered 2wd truck but if there's people out there running them with no problems them **** it and run em. I understand trying to save a buck when you can:thumb:

Sounds like square stock blocks for lowering 2wd truck = fine :pimp:

Square stock blocks for lifted 4x4 with 44"s = not fine :doah:

As far as your truck it's bad ***. Love what you've done with the thing. And you have accomplished much more on this thing than I have on my build so let the haters hate. Keep on building at your own pace. :thumb:

Nah man.... YOU are cool.
It's that CUCV guy that got my panties all twisted.

And, to be ABSOLUTELY CLEAR: Issaam can say WHATEVER he wants.
He has EVERY right, IMO.
Just so that's clear.. :waytogo:

And, thanks to everybody else, too.... :D

It's been a LONG day today.
A LONG day.

The real reason I got so pissed,
aside from completing 80% of a street rod build in 6 months, and getting sh*t for being too slow;
Is that my neighbor/WeldMoney havin ass sonuvabitch brother in law, came by earlier...
He offered to pay for the rest of the build...

You know how much of a kick in the nuts it is, to have yer BIL come by and offer to hand you $,
To finish yer build..... That sh*t F*ckin' hurt the hell outta my pride.

And, as soon as I log onto CK5... I'm too gawdamn slow. :weapon9:

So, thanks for the extra kick in the nuts, man.
It was the wrong f*cking day.

I am just itching to see it run again with the BBC and I feel you could have left a few things alone and got it running then dealt with the rest.
I have now a 12b complete you can have the brake lines off it.
I don't know if you kept them but the brake booster and MC were fine but I might have another set.
And the rest you know as well.
Just call me or come by and pick up what you need.
You should be able to finish it before the weekend.

That's quite tempting.
If I make a list and come by, I can bring you some $, too. :deal:

And, the master was rusted out... But, the booster was fine.
I actually traded it for a future favor, from the tire guy.

I used the 1-Ton Booster that was in the cab.
Hence the need for a 1-Ton Master Cylinder.
If you have that, that would be cool, but a new one is only $50.

Dint worry about what you can't do now and what you are getting done moves you closer to your goal. Just because it doesn't run doesn't mean let everything you can get done sit and wait. I'd rather do something and move the build along then watch it sit waiting for money or whatever. You are doing great putting this together. Isaams hook ups should get you a lot closer to moving and stopping under its own power. I wonder what that favor for payment is going to be as well. Lol. Keep up the work and do what you can as you can. It'll be done soon enough.

Like Issaam said, I could have it done by this weekend.

He has a LOT of parts... :haha:

If I ever win the lotto, I'm buying a private jet.
That's probably the 7th thing on the list, but it's on there... :pimp::haha:

I believe small jets are as much of a money suck as boats. Just sayin', might be smarted to buy a Toyota. Takes longer to get there, but more fiduciarily responsible.

Split the difference and get a Cesna. Or be a rebel and get you a P-51 Mustang. Nothing beats the sound of one of them firing up, especially 3 on one rather large pulling tractor.

To put this SLIGHTLY back on track:

- Installed my Mechanical Coolant Temp Sensor.
- Oil pressure gauge stuff, too.
- Speedo Cable, as well... Need a speedo gear, and housing.

Gotta get a bunch of parts from Issaam.
And, hit the local NAPA for $120 in fluids... :haha:

allow me to derail it again for you, GET A
