My '70 C/10 - The Rat Bastard... [Won't Idle.]

Is that a penny?

Haha, and its crazy what oil has risen to nowadays, well even parts in general. I remember buying starters for 32$, and now they are 60$ for a rinky dink Chevy starter.

I think I paid $18 a quart for gm's synchromesh for my nv3500. I can't even find the right fluid for my nv4500's but its around $20 a quart too. Crazy...

I think I paid $16 for royal purple Syncro-max at napa...still brought the suck thos since I bought 4 :haha:

My TH400 with deep pan and cooler holds something like 13 quarts, terrible. Inflation is a bunch of nonsense. And its expensive because our wages have doubled in the last 5 years

On a second note, how hard was it to wire up your dash the way you did, IIRC it was all Autometer gauges correct? I have been thinking of doing this as stock gauges are hard to read and the white face gauges just look cool IMO.

What year is your vehicle?

Mine are a mix of gauge brands.
In a few months, to a year, they'll be all Autometer in a Custom Bezel.
Care of member "Ion".... Maybe you should pm him. He's the gauge guy. :thumb:

Ion sent me a sweet gauge harness, cuz he's awesome!!!!
So my gauges pretty much just plugged right in.
*Keeping in mind that I rewired my whole rig, with an EZ-21 Kit.*

All I had to do was trim a couple wires, and lengthen a couple others.
The molex plug was hella easy to wire/connect.
The damned harness is a thing of beauty. :D

Meh, its a 90 Burb. Im guessing it sitting on an 80 frame with a 2000 454 wouldnt change anything. I want to ditch my dash and A-pillar gauges and have them all in the gauge cluster, kinda like the Cadillacs do with tranny temp and tach, its cleaner and looks factoryish.

This is aways down the road of course, the doubler and 60 come first, and then maybe the cam swap as I have the cam sitting in my bedroom on the dresser which the woman is tired of seeing, but I cant do that until I buy a removeable crossmember as the oil pan cant come out to take the timing chain cover off and you see my snowball problem. Plus I need N02 and a turbo and a supercharger and 44s and 2.5 tons and tinted windows and heated seats. you know

Ha, your ideas will send my OCD into overdrive. I have not the funds for this, being laid off again brings the suck. Construction is horrible these days.

I really dig this truck. When I was in HS, a buddy have an almost exact twinky of this truck. 396 with work, swapped in 700 though. It was a blast to ride around in, his twin brother had a 69 El Camino with a 350 that was worked, they had all sorts of cool rides back then. Keep up the good work, I love tastefully lowered pickups like this, especially ones that have muscle. I cant stand Truckin crap that has 40K into the body and shocks, and a stock 350TBI under the hood with 1 tire fire.

I can't stand that sh*t, either.... :doah:
All the "Big Name" Internet-heroes, and Forum Leaders, are all rocking 350's....
Most of the magazines are the same.

Oh, and the Crate Motors.... "Built not Bought", but it runs a Crate Motor. :weapon9:

the rules are different here... Because we actually fab.
So, you can say built not bought, and still have a crate motor.... That's fine.
But, when a shop dropped yer truck, and a shop painted yer truck,
And a shop did yer wheels/brakes, and a shop built yer engine....

Yep... Bypassing Clearcoat altogether.... :pimp:

This is JUST Meguiars "Tech Wax 2.0".... :thumb:
EXACTLY what I was going for!

Obviously, I just waxed the front clip...
