The great shifter debate...
I currently have the factory Manual Column installed.
I'd like to keep it that way, and do a floor shifter, but cant afford one.
If you wanna sell it to me for a decent price, id buy it.
Its for a 3-speed, right?
I was gonna buy one from someone else, but ended up having to pay a ticket instead.
Wait for it.....
Sweet!!! Gotta read yer pm.PM sent
Haha I actually removed a manual column/floor shifter so I could go back to column shift.
It came off a th350 so it should work.
It's taking up room so....
I also have some stamped steel chrome tall valve covers and matching air cleaner for a BBC. They have stamped flames in them that's why I'm getting rid of them, they're just not my style.
I like it.... Looks legit.Looks good. Those back tires tucked in nicely.

When I switch to bags, I'm gonna clean and paint the whole frame.hopin it sits level.
are you gonna shoot it with some paint at all or let it patina underneath as well?

I approve.
As long as I can see a full tire in the wheel well I think it is good.

The rear bumper being gone or trimmed in a way its not out past the bedsides would complete that truck for sure. Preferably gone though. It just has a rugged look that that truck is not trying to establish.
And you will not have to cut a hole in the cab for the woofers to produce sound. It will sound better if you do, but its alot of extra work to seal the box into the cab so it doesnt leak. And decent subs will beat the glass out of that truck no prob anyways. I had to get all new window seals in mine as my 2 JL W-7s were pushing the windows out on the bottoms as the channel seals were gone. They actually shake quarters on the hood. Pretty good for 18+ feet of interior between the two. I ended up turning the bass down as they outbeat the mids and highs of 4 tweeters, 4 6x9s on their own separate amp and two 4in rounds.

I've heard it's ghetto yes, but it seems very common. You will get a stiffer ride due to the spring rate being changed.love the stance..... just right....
but isn't cutting coils ghetto, and makes them prematurely fail and ride worse? thought that's what I had heard.....![]()
that to do it properly you need to put in a full progressive spring of the desired height..
I'm sure I would have done the same thing, it's just something I had heard and maybe something to look at further down the road if they get funky...
just a temp solution til he does the air ride.
heating is where you are destroying the spring rate. cutting isn't as bad. its not the "correct" way per se, but its definilty usable. especially since his is just a temp solution til he does the air ride.
