My '70 C/10 - The Rat Bastard... [Won't Idle.]

She pee'd fuel ALL OVER..... :haha:

First the fuel inlet gasket wasnt seated properly.
Then, the output fitting for thepump start leaking.... :doah:

I said f*ck it, and fired it up for a few seconds, anyway.
My wife is uploading the video, right now.

But,i gotta pull the fuel line, and alter the bottom bend.

Mike if I come to your house for dinner I want enchiladas or burritos.

That first fire is always a moment of excitement, and utter fear (will it catch, or sputter? will fuel come gushing out? what IS that smoke coming off the back of the passenger side header?)

But especially with big blocks, fun :D Congrats!

I probably wasted 3 hrs just avoiding it.... :haha:

Then, it just worked. :pimp:

Open headers?

Yea. Open JBA shorties.

I had to notch an uncomfortable amount of frame to get them there.
So much in fact, that I'm just gonna order a set of long tube headers from Summit.
They're only $130, and then I can fill the frame back in.
This truck has too much power for a piece of frame to be missing.

congrats! :waytogo:

ya might wanna cough up another $50 or so for at least some Hooker comps... those Summit headers sound like tinny cr@p..

and if you where anywhere else, they'd rot out in a couple yr's..
