My '70 C/10 - The Rat Bastard... [Won't Idle.]

yeah, that hose to you breather does not go to the back of your carb.

Convenient.... Because thats not where it goes... :deal:
The breather hose is plugged into manifold vac., instead of the capped off PCV port.

The brakes are gonna be attached at the rear of the carb.
All is well in Vacuum-land, I assure you. :D

Cleaned and waxed the interior paint.... :D

... Or, 1-Ton brakes, on a Half-ton.... From what i hear.

Brakes, Belts, Bolts, Brackets, tomoro.
Maybe even a driveshaft.... Ya know, to ruin the illeteration.

I normally get paid on fridays....
Cuz everybody else gets paid then... So, thats when they pay me. :haha:

Picked up the main belt, and my charging wire, etc.
Got her to fire, but she only runs for a few seconds at a time, before it dies.

Ive narrowed it down to a PCV issue, Vacuum leak issue, or Mistuned carb.

Apparently...

- Blocking off the carb's PCV was stupid. :doah:
- Using a factory 330hp tuned carb, on a 350hp+/cammed engine, doesnt make for great idle.

Tomoro, will see me fixing the PCV issue and adjusting the idle air mixture.
See if i can get 'lopey' to idle for longer than 7 seconds at-a-time, without a carb rebuild. :D

So, its another mix-n-match issue.
But, she sounds AMAZING while she's running, so I think the timing is good.

Really stupid, but make sure the power wire to your dizzy is hot not only in Start but in Run. Otherwise it will crank, catch, then immediately die.

Not like I ever had that happen or anything
