got a lot done last week.
managed to get it "driving" :haha:
didnt meet my mid week deadline but hey a win is a win right.

drove it around the block with now shocks and decided to put some on the rear at least before attempting to drive it across town.

went to do the rear wheel cylinders and discovered that the rear shoes are shot to hell so disk brakes will be on order next check.

it drove ok on the way to the new house. the ride that the sliders provide was odd compared to a conventional shackle. not sure if it was all the little things like having 1/2" of up travel before the pumpkin hit the old A arm pockets on the engine crossmember or the fact that my steering is limited from going full lock because I cut off the stupid duck bill skid (that 2wd s10s have up front) crooked or that the rear shoes being so far gone that the brake pedal is super low and if I stomped on it to quickly that it would lock up the rears (dont know why this happens just yet)

A lot of things to address and to finalize before its wheeling but Its at least mobile and I couldn't be happier with how its turning out.

And here you can see the crossmember that hits the pumpkin and the old duck bill before i cut it off.
I plan on cutting the A arm pockets off to allow the pumpkin to nestle inside more and trim the remaining skid off to clear the steering.

Its been alot of fix this...just to not like how it turned out and redo...like my trans crossmember. Im now on version 3 haha. But hopefully this is the last version.

Also got the shock hoops bent and mounted...granted it took 4 different attempts to get them where i wanted them. 12" es9000 up front and 10" es9000s out back. which will soon be the same lengths but in the bilstien flavor....

I did manage to get the 241 adapter plate made. Its not as fancy looking as i had hoped but it gets the job done.

I also said screw it and pushed my axle forward 2" since it was hitting the engine crossmember on the front pumpkin during every little bump. Plus the 1/2" of up-travel because of the axle location probably wasn't gonna get me very far in the articulation dept.

Got a sye for the 241 that'll go in when the doubler goes in. Got it for a steal but turns out its a cable speedo and i use vss. I have a buddy that said hell order a vss unit and we can trade since he needs cable for his 241. If that doesn't work out ill just not run a speedo.

Swapped gears too. Wasn't feeling the 4.10s and 37s so i went with a spare 4.56 center chunk for the rear eaton (locked ofcourse) and at the same time threw on some disk since my rear drums were scary low at best. As for the front axle i borrowed a 4.56 locked 44 from my dad for the time being till i can find a 4.56 d60 to swap in. Worse case scenerio I pull the 60 from the jimmy and rebuild it to toss in the S10 and then do 4.10s in that since Ill never go over a 35 on the jimmy.

So that brings us current...sort of.
current projects are flat belly the trans and tcse which required cutting the floor to fit. I was originally against cutting it but the 2wd body was just in the way in too many areas so away went those areas. Im working on the cover portion now and the cool thing i realized is ill have access to the shifter in the cab so i wont have to make some fancy cable shifter like i was planning on...tho i might do it later down the road cuz cable shifters are cool

gonna get some sq tube to go the trans crossmember then herculine everythign and try....TRY...to get this thing to the rubicon at the end of the month with chris....

speaking of chris....

Ill let you guys figure out that...
