My bobbed Suburban hatchback build.

Small update

Was able to get some stuff for the Sub while buying parts for Momma's Power Wagon.

New Fuel pump to replace the faulty Walpro that came with the Fast system.
They gave a full refund but at the time the pump would have been on back-ordered so I used the factory unit to get by.

With the hatch on the relocated tank cover it will only take about 15min. to put in...:woot:

Nice, I had fuel pump issues with the Professional Products Power Injection III with my old motor. Frustrating to say the least!

That trap door is pure genius. I think every vehicle with an in-tank fuel pump should have come with an access panel of some sort.

Finally had a chance to install the fuel pump.

Hard to get much work done in the garage when it's been so cold.

On closer inspection my new Edelbrock pump is actually a Walbro.

Install took about 20min.

Old verses new.

Not much difference on 1st inspection but the pickup port is almost double the diameter of the factory pump.

That looked ridiculously easy.

So do you have that cover over the tank because you've raised the tank up or what? I like it that's for sure. :thumb:

You got it.

Tank was relocated from behind the axle and under the frame, to over the axle and on top of the frame.

Sacrifices a bit of room on the inside but the tank hangs down just flush to the underside of the raised section of frame by the axle.

Factory fuel lines were looped back in the frame and matched up perfectly with the new location.

I've been debating relocation of my tank also. I'm building a bed deck and compartments so I would loose a lot of my gear space. I like yours though, and it would sit right on top of my shock location. Hmmmm!

Once the Power Wagon cage is finished.....

I have some new goodies for the Suburban:woot:

LED interior lights.

4" travel ProComp gas charged bump stops.:waytogo:

Need to do something with my Rig since lately Kelly's ride has had most of our attention.:D

Thanks for noticing!!

Bump... :D :waytogo:

Just thought I'd help ya out. :thumb:

Unless work gets in the way....

This weekend I'll be cutting out the rockers and installing my rectangle tube sliders as part of the body and provide a secure mounting point for the bottom of my front fenders.:waytogo:

The wheel base makes my rockers a bit vulnerable now.

Next weekend I'll do the install of the new bumps......:woot:

This will require some front shock hoop mods, rear cross member work and bump plates located on the axles.

Be sure and take pictures of all that work for us internet types.

I don't really consider myself and internet type of guy, but here I am. :doah:

Small but significant update.

Work has definately been getting in the way of planned progress on the Burb.
My shop is going crazy at this point, working weekends and some nights very late....I LOVE IT!!!

Finally found a shop proficient with tuning the Fast systems.

They only asked if I could put some tires on it that would be a bit more friendly with their Dyno.

Pics to follow----The Sub looks ridiculous with the Bling wheels, we had originally purchased for the Power Wagon.....:eek1:

35" Pirelli tires on 22" wheels:doah::haha:

Wait till the guys with the import tuner cars get a load of this....:haha:
The ZZ383 crate motor claims 425hp, we will see what that translates into at the rear wheels.:woot::dunno:

I'll get some shots today with it on the Dyno machine!

Rock rockers getting done this weekend!!!
