Well it looks like the cool thing to do is to have one so here i go

here is is when i bought it

i had a 4inch lift and 3 inch body lift, 33's and a 305 th400 np203

i ditched the rollbar and lights and re did the exhaust

i drove it for a while and then my friend traded me my 33's for his plowtruck, for some 35in M/T's

then one night, i was driving home, and i herd a "pop" and the steering got looser. so i pulled over and checked it out. thats weird, it's leeking P/S fluid, i grabed onto the line and the steering box was loose. i had it towed home.
come to find out 2 bolts snaped, one newly snaped, one recent, one 1/4 turn from falling out and one mia. so i put the truck in the yard and im slowly collecting parts. i just got the weld in and brace kit, from "thebeast" on here and now i wait to order the painless wireing harness. once i get that, i will swap in the 350-th350-205 and then ill wheel it.

heres a pic of where it sits today

in a couple of weeks, ill be putting in the braces and the new motor, tranny and t-case so stay tuned

I think we will weld on the brace and bolt on brace and re do the wireing and put the new motor tranny and tcase all at once

then ill get some tires with more tread and ill wheel it, thats what i got it for right??

I have done mild stuff with them and the mild stuff went a hell of a lot easier with the MTZs. Also on the road they are better than my A/Ts ever were. I got them from Town Fair Tire in Woonsocket, RI across from Sears. They were a Xmas present so I don't have an exact price on them...

Well guys, i have taken the steering box out, and come to find out there are alot of cracks, previously welded. There was a home made funky steel plate behind the frame.

I will be getting it welded sometime this week

Pics to follow.

Well guys, tuesday we started to weld in the brace. We thought it could be done in a couple hours, but after we ground down the paint, we forund out that the truck had more cracks than a crack house. we spent 2 hours grinding down the crapy welds and we started to weld in the plate...

Also i found this bolted to the inside of the frame.

I have been pulled over without doors, but they didnt mention it, they were concerned about the drugs I must be on for not having them!

nice stepside tom, the paint is soooo shiny!

Thanks,

i dont know why it looks so clean, if you see it in person it's gross right now...

My end goal is to have a capable wheeler that can be cleaned up and look nice... All i have left is the 36's a winch bumper and a locker or 2
