My Build UPDATE---lots of pictures--2/1/2010

not so much dead as waiting for some free time. I had a week off this week and was gonna hit it hard but then I ended up going on vacation. I won't be back until the end of the week. I might get a little done over the weekend.

the list left to do:

MOTOR!!
hydro assit
finish welding frame brace
cage
fuel cell
dash
gears/locker for rear
gears/locker for front
drive flanges
f/r driveshafts
rebuild tranny
reuild transfer case
lighting
rebuild steering box and swap sector shafts
eventually do a rear disc conversion
probably gonna need new calipers up front
mild body work
paint
 
sweet.... i understand that. i will not get to work on my truck for two years. due to the fact that i am in iraq at the moment...for the third time. kinda sucks. i have had it since march of 2004 and bye the time i get back will have only been able to see the truck 1.5 years and out of the 5 that i have owned it. oh well...i will have the money to do mine much like muddinmanny is doing his now, along with a few other toys. good luck to you in your build as i will be here watching from time to time and possibly comment here and there and be jealous as i cant wrench on my own truck.
 
first off THANK YOU for all your services over there and for what you're doing for our country.:bow::bow::bow:

and I'll get to work on it so I'll have some updates for ya:D

i see you are in springfield. i appreciate your offer but i like to be the one to break the parts on my truck. hahaha. i make sure that my wife drives it down the road and back once a week. watching my a$$ is a lil difficult but I'll keep an eye out.
 
Well im reviving it...someone get me the paddles....CLEAR!!!! no good, turn it up.....CLEAR.....wait, wait, i think we have a pulse...i think i watch to much House M.D.

I have had ZERO time to do anything on the truck. The only thing I've done since the last post was pull the gas tank and fill the holes in the body where the filler neck went. Ok.....that's kind of an update. :haha::haha:
 
mtnman, not to get off topic but didnt you have a real cool k20 at one time that you centered your tires useing bushwacker flairs?

nope no k20. I've only ever had my blue blazer and this one. There is another mtnman on this site, so I could have been him.

sorry to disappoint but the only thing I've done was put an American flag on the firewall for the 4th of July. I've got a ton of personal things that have to get squared away right now and so I've lost most my free time. Probably by the end of the month everything will have settled in and I'll get some time for the truck. Even the blue Blazer is suffering right now.:crazy::crazy:
