I had a hard time wrapping my brain around how bead locks worked untill I saw that thread. After lookin at it, I'm almost certain I can make my own. /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif
 
That is a informational thread. If somebody wanted those support rings I could easily do it. Even for the guys that already have them. With a little planning ahead They could be installed on the next tire change. I do agree with one person though. A 3/8" round rod could easily be used and again save some expense.
 
That is a great write up, exactly how you do it good tip on the silicon. I did that after finding some pin holes. The support thing is an excellent idea I did have some deflection but I think with the ripper style they look better that way. Plus now that they are together they are not coming apart till the tires are showing cords. Alot of work for one person even using an air ratchet.
 
I'm just curious, have you tried making a set so you either threaded the inner ring or welded nuts on the inner ring?
