My full conversion

I know you did this is almost two years ago but would you know the measurements, off hand? I had a 90 K5 tub converted to full convertible and put it on my 73 chassis a couple of years ago. I just tried to put my top on but it looks like the windshield frame is too high making a gap where to top sits on the quarter panel.

Can't see your pictures but if you have a regular windshield then the conversion is not to blame.
Do you have the seal on the bottom of the hardtop?
Where it rests on the bedside.

Yes the seal is on the bottom of the top. The gap is about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. The gap would be bigger but I removed to seal at the top of the windshield frame, this one (https://www.motorcityk5.com/i-7087-upper-header-seal-inner-73-75-blazer.html?ref=category:1173). The windshield went in fine after the windshield frame was welded in. That is why this seems odd. I would of figured the windshield wouldn't of fit if it was off. A friend of mine said the front of the hard top could be sagging.

The front of the top could be sagging but it could also be the tub is not straight, how do the doors close?
The section where the 73-75 tub has a reinforced rocker it could fold up and create your problem but it also will create a problem with the doors.

If the top is sagging do you have time to let it sit on the windshield frame and possibly relax and lay down against the tub?

That said, I agree with @imiceman44 , it’s more likely the tub is doing weird stuff on a converted truck.

I can't see your pictures. Email me them [email protected] so I can see what you got

The doors close ok. I installed some brackets from the body to the frame after the half top was cutoff so yeah it could be the tub that's not straight and never could notice it until the hard top was on. Thanks look at that .

The top is on right now and was hoping it would settle back if it was sagging . I'm thinking now it is the tub. I'm in South MS. I don't bring it mudding since I'm trying to make it look good.

I’m not sure if you can see the regional forums. If you can, watch ours for get togethers and such. Once or twice a year we try to meet up to eat, there are several members from around Hattiesburg south and lower Ala & La.

We’ve met up a couple of times at off road parks to ride but nothing crazy, no big deal if that’s not your thing.

It been awhile since I've really done anything to the "beast" but today I installed a shift kit and a bigger trans cooler. I've been working on my sons truck and it's almost ready for the road.

Drilled some holes in the core support so the hoses could be routed neatly. Grommets were used on the bottom too

Put a little time tinkering with my beast today. My wife got me some parking brake cables for Father's Day so I figured I better install them. We got them from lugnut 4x4 on Facebook. Had to make a bracket for it but at least now I have a working parking brake. I'll post the pictures tomorrow

Had a fuel related issue. So I decided it was time to run a different fuel delivery setup. I want an in-tank fuel pump, so putting back a factory pump seemed like the right choose for me. With that being said I have two options drove tank (which is full) or make a access hole.

Had some scrap diamond plate laying around, so that’s what I’m gonna use to make a access hole to the gas tank.

Finally got to use my plasma cutter
