a quick pic of the wheels I took for my wedding cake (grooms cake will be a replica of this) this is with my iphone, so the pic quality is crappy. I will get some good pics as soon as I pick up another camera.

so gabe, how do u like the doubler? Did you rebuild your 205 with new bearings? or did you just re-seal it and call it a day?

I really like the doubler so far. I have only been able to use the 203 range shifter and the front shifter due to them not being adjusted yet. The rear is in low and that is where it was when the ball stud on the bottom of the shifter broke. Over the next few weeks I am going to try and work out all the little bugs on it.

nice build man, that cage looks sick. I feel ya on the shifter, I still havent shifted my rear output yet...

So I basically ripped off the drivers side rear quarter coming down upper two. then going back up the shelf on upper two I ripped off the passanger side front fender. It was sawzall time... so here are some recent pics. I am going to build some small fenders for the rear.

So I was thinking this past weekend about the latest build and how everything has turned out, what I like, what I have changed, and what I would do differently knowing what I know now. So here goes

Would have changed:

#1) Fuel Cell... I would have gotten one without foam. The foam keeps coming apart and clogging up the pickup screen for the fuel pump.

#2) 203/205 doubler... Instead I would have gotten an Atlas, the cost wound up about the same and it required alot of extra work and weighs alot more. Also I wouldnt have dad to deal with all the crap I went through with NWF. Hopefully Kyle will get his $hit togeather, the product is pretty good, the customer service was horrid.

#3) I would have gone ahead and swapped to 56inch rear springs and heavy duty spring perches. I did this recently and have alot better shackle angle. Also I bent my old spring perches.

#4) I would have gone ahead and boatsided the k5 prior to building the cage. I would like to do this now, but it will be harder.

#5) I would have done braided hose from the cutting brakes to the rear.

What I like:

#1) I love my cage... Its amazing the peace of mind that a good cage will give you

#2) I really like my current suspension setup... I wheel with alot of high end buggies and jeeps and the K5 holds its own with leaf springs and shocks

#3) The rim guards are great, I no longer worry about breaking off a wheel bolt in my h1s

#4) Front diggs are fun and useful

#5) Cutting brakes are handy

#6) Hydro Assist steering is the only way for me

#7) I love my seats

Nice pics. I rode by your house the other day, looked like it might be time to get a bigger trailer. Looks like that beast doesn't want to stay on there. -Wes

Man, I didn't know you were gonna make it to toys 4 tots. I woulda pulled some money outta my ass and brought the rig down, or at least rode with you!

I heard rat hole was easier than last time we were there? True? I also heard it was a muddy.

yeah... lol... that was dads tractor hauler, I havent bought a trailer yet so I am at the mercy of what I can borrow... hopefully in the spring I can get one of my own. Especially since my new brother in law is Barry Hooper from Hooper trailers.

Dude... I told Jamie, I thought she told you.

I didnt have any issues with the Rat Hole, I did it 3 different times but I dont try the right side... only one buggy made it up the right, and it was a $70k job driven by Scottie Bobby. He had to pin it too win it. There were a number of rigs that got the backhoe, Mainly Rockwell buggys that were too wide to go left. There was one FToy WeRock Buggy that broke a longfield and got the pleasure of being pulled by the K5.

Jamie! psshhh... She didn't even believe me when I told her you were there!! You can't relay stuff through her! I did see a pic of Brents rockwelled dodge gettin the backhoe.

So you got a new tranny in the K5 or what?
