very nice. What areas did you weld on the tongue? I can see the one at the rear and the one where the tongue is cit and angled, but are there any more?

Made HUGE progress today. We set the tounge and got most of it welded up. The whole underside of the trailer is done and welded. We flipped the trailer and started the welds on the top side. The tounge is still going to get a lot more welding, its just easier to do most of it from the top. Tomorrow i am going to go pick up some cool gussets to decorate a little. Heres the link.
https://www.spydercustoms.com/index2.php . (Go to the components - signature gussets.) I am thinking about using the flame gussets.

After we flipped it,

With your situation ... you might need Money instead of beer.....

I'd just spend it on beer anyway:haha:

Maybe we can get something lined up this week.

Another really good day. The trailer is now sitting on its own tires and jack.
Next thing to do is build the front rail and add some steak pockets. Saturday I will weld on the D-rings and the winch mount then its off to paint.

Looking good!

Although, you must have too much money or one hungry trailer since you have "steak" pockets :haha: Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Nice work dude. My father use to build trailers for extra money, then I took it over and built them in the summers for extra money. He worked at a steel mill so he use to be able to buy the material for the cost of scrap. With the cost of steel now days its hard to make any good money at it around here. We use to sell trailers like the one you've made for around $1200 but that was in the late 80s until the mid 90s. We would build anything from 5x8 to goosenecks and as you stated we all ways used atleast 3" channel for the frames. I still see alot of the ones we built still on the road today. We kept the last one we made, which was an 8x20 hydro tilt. I still use it today to haul my rig on the short runs to the trails.

Its gettin real close for paint..... I had a side job this weekend that has been planned for a while... engine swap in a HEEP. The stake pockets are on along with the front bumper bar.....SOON SOOON
