my TRAZER build thread...take a gander

Thats more like it. Damn this site, it makes me want to work on my truck so bad. What are you plans for shock mounts up front?

ill prolly make some sort of hoop or a replica of the for shock towers and then ill just mount strait to the top of the axle. i need to find a dana 60 bad though! or i want dana 60 complete outers ( inner and outer c's spindle hub etc etc) to make a custom front axle

A custom front would be pretty sweet, you thinking of a 609 or what?

What springs are you running front and rear?

By the way those sliders are BEEF.

Might want to chop em at an anlgle and cap them though.

52's front 56's rear. yea they are quite strong....stranger than i thought theyd be at least. im planning on angling and capping then in the front and in the rear im gunna do a little something for a tie on the rear cage hoop but that will come later:D

ok well i havent posted in a crapload of days cus my internet stopped working but im getting my front eaton ready to put under the truck and im just gunna run it till it breaks if it does then ill put knuckles from a 60 on it and have shafts made. but the truck is close as hel! to being done i just need to work on it more

the front tire is not even beginning to come off the ground and the rear is a different story i think ittl get a lil better with longer shackles and more weight on it

Just reading through this thread again....

It's hard to judge the flex like that. Unless you've found your weight center then you can't really say the front is flexxier. A forklift makes a nice flex check tool.:D

i wasnt really trying to test the flex i was trying to see how well the sliders would hold up. but the front will flex quite nice anyways

How old is that front end? waht did it originally come out of?

they were specially made front ends manufactured by napco conversions i think from tho 50's to the early 70's this specific one is out of a 69 4x4 converted chevy. they were based off of the ho72 so it has a 3rd member and i think theyre bada$$ it uses birfields and has some awesome stock hi steer tie rod that is on the backside of the axel
