Any updates on this yet?
Is it still on? Same dates?
And is there a new thread yet?

Check under regional. Noticed the new thread there a day or two ago..

I wont be making it either way this year =( MuddyBuddy wont be either.

I definetly will be coming up in 08..
Depending how many people come this year it should really be pumped next year, advertise on other forums, .. Tshirts of the event(Cafepress?), bumper stickers(cafepress?)..

Maybe a cafepress should be made asap so it can be worn to this years Summer Crawl(Why the hell did you change the name from blaze..The point was to be for blazers?)

Hey Metdrops shoot me another email or PM and maybe we can arrange a yearly uwharrie event for 08.. North now has the Summer Crawl, Uwharrie should be the south east's event or maybe tellico? Tellico is hardcore so not alot of us would go out..

the name was changed for all vehicles to come...i know im excited to go cause my buddy will be testing his heep on rocks that weekend...if it was only blazers he couldnt go...and i guess i couldnt either..

A first year gig invariably has small turnouts. There's no reason to go all out with all kinds of giveaways, t-shirts, etc... especially when it's meant for people to wheel and not sit around looking at tickets waving "Me! Me!"

T-shirts & stickers are common place. Most likely next year we'll have something that has worked for other events I have organized; keychains. hugely popular and well, cheap. compared to a custom t-shirt that someone wears once or twice and stuffed in a drawer.

Those that actually show up will more than hype it enough for the next one. If there is one.

(Why the hell did you change the name from blaze..The point was to be for blazers?)

First - Metro dropped the ball because he's physically incapable of running it. I picked it up and changed the name to keep it's possible future clear in the legal department.

Secondly, This is NOT A NORTH event. You tell me where an official park willing to have us, in the mid-atlantic, with over 30 miles worth of trails catering to ALL levels of rigs is and maybe next time, we'll have it there. S.E. pa seems a relatively central locale if you look at a map further north than Pa. Oh say,, Maine?

Well it technically is in the NE .. Typical north/south line is virginia be it the NC line or the MD line...different people consider VA to be in either north or south when not including central. Central in my point of view would probably be SC up to the bottum of PA.. going west to Kentucky and WV, and Ohio.

I just found the Uwharrie Auttum Thump, and thats in the southeast and rules out my idea of having another k5 event at Uwharrie. Didnt know there was a k5 one there =)

I didnt mean giving away tshirts, i meant simply to have them for the event so everyone could wear while there if they wanted..

Also. the name.. Summer Blaze, legal stuff aside could still mean all vehicles.. Blaze meaning either Blazer, or Blazing hot. I wouldnt mind driving a dodge or jeep or something to a Blazer event if it says all are welcome, afterall it was blazer guys who started it so why not?

Are the companys still going to be there, and the BFG donation giveaway?

well see if you were a member you would see the regional forums....north carolina is the southeast...we are in the mid-atlantic...trust me go to your local kroger and look at the name tags on people and they will say kroger mid atlantic....i dont know about your treaviling distance from chesapeake but it is closer for me to go to penn to paragon or to raush then to go to tellico or to uhwarrie...dont get me wrong i will go to all 4 but if you look on a map raush is rust on the other side of penn right around harrisburg..

For someone not coming, I don't need to waste my time explaining the why's and wheres. As far as any previously mentioned giveaways are concerned:

I sent Metro several emails and pm's and low-n-behold, he has never answered. So as far as I'm concerned, they never existed and if they did, they somehow "disappeared" :screwy:

After ours is going to be there, along with others and sponsors of the park.

Nuff said.......

As far as i am concerned, this is a new event for the "east coast" from the beginning its just some of us getting together to do some wheeling and make it a yearly thing like the event they have on the west. Blazers, jeeps, burbans,
yugo's, and whatever else you own, bring it.
If the bells and whistles of t-shirts, key chains, bras, and thongs labled summer blaze is included then so be it, if not i dont care. lets all just go and have fun and make a yearly habit of it.

Also, i see a few people dropping out becouse their rig is not going to be ready, that fine still come and have a great time. i have also seen a couple people reply that they are not ready cause their truck isnt built enough. you do not need a truck that can climb boulders to play. you should bring your truck to the event and atleast play on some small stuff. You do not need to go all out barrels a blazing just to have a good time.
so lets all just get along and come to the event and have a good time. :D:D:D:D:D:D

Nice attitude shiprekt

I never said it was an event just for the north.. When i talked about making a south east event i didnt mean it would just be for the south, whole east coast sure..But it would give some people something a little closer to home as an option as well. And it already exists anyway..

Also as a non-member i can view all of the forums, just not reply and post in them all. (Limited to i think 3)

shiprekd i have to commend you for putting this thing togher in the last couple months...not only have you got it going but you also created a website and orginized it with raush creek...i comend you...as we see the members that dont even pay the 25 to support this site complain about a even that they never were even gonna participate in...should have been expecting someone who has been a member for a little under a year now and still not paid the dues for the site to be wanting hand outs and give aways...obvousily you have no repect for wheeling (legally) or this site..

That post was total BS and uncalled for in all aspects. Paying for membership is not a rule, i havent even been on here enough recently to warrent the 25..You can contribute to the site in more than one way to keep it strong. Whats with the rest of the comments? No respect for legal wheeling? How the hell did you even get that comment??

i put legally in there because in va (where you or me live) there is no place to wheel (legal)...so unless you go to shoe creek or george washington on a regular basis then the wheeling your doing is prolly illegal...

You still pulled that comment out of nowhere. I do goto GWNF(Shoe creek, peavine, etc), i goto outerbanks, and i have 3 locations around my area where i have permission to be on. Who said i wheeled around here anyway?
