I'm probably out of this, now. With any luck, I'll be closer to the left coast than the east coast by July.

Well guys/gals I have thought long and hard with what I am about say. First off I want to thank all the people who have helped with suggestions and offers. I want to thank Shiprekd for all his hard effort on his end in PA. I offered him the chance to continue with this. I can no ;onger put time or effort into it.

Here is the reason my health has not improved and recently my father has had to start dialysis. He is in end stages of renal failure and needs to go three times a week for four hours at a time. I am now the taxi service for him and our 50 mile trips. I myself am not in the best of health but that is not the point.

With my fathers health failing I am not able to devote time else where. I am sorry that this has to fall in to a dream not finished. I am sorry to all those who were looking forward to this. I am now helping to care for my father.

God Be with you all and keep the dream alive.

I aggree, we should keep this going..
I could care less about the Jambo...
But I have no problem with moving the date.

I'll go regardless.:D

Metro contacted me a few days ago. I sent a reply but haven't heard back from him yet.

My group out here in Pa knows R.C. well, Some are only minutes from the park. I'm more than happy to keep this thing alive and have support from some of my group to do this. Back in the thread a lil I took over ground support for this thing and really hate to see it fall by the way side.

Thats a good thing!

I live just north of you in western NY and was planing on coming also.

Sorry to hear about your health Metrodps, wish you and your family the best.
I only stumbled on this thread now, I should check out the garage more often. I live about 20min from RC and my K5 won't be done for '07 but this gives me something to push for in '08. I'd still like to come up and meet everyone, not sure what my M1008 can tackle but I may give that a try or bring my yamaha grizzly. Haven't been to RC before, I do most my wheeling on Reading Coal land near shamokin. this sounds very cool and I hope it turns into an anual event.

Well if it is not the same date as Bloomsburg, and my trail rig is done, I'll come down.

The dates for the "Summer Blaze" will not be moved. My group which is helping to organize and make it run smoothly gave up vacation plans (off-roading in WV) to do this. Some here on CK5 have also done the same thing and it wouldn't be right. There is always multiple events happening on every weekend no matter the state during the summer.

I already have multiple guides set for all levels of trails along with ground support people. I will have a website online within a week or two so no one has to dig thru 37+ pages of posts for the info and so on.

Lastly, This is NORTH EAST Wheeling. Rausch Creek has alot of rocks but unless there's a drought, there will be a fair amount of mud for those that like to sling it. No matter how many of you show up, you're going to have a blast. Myself and my groupa re going to be sure of that :O}

One more thing....

My group is not a GM specific type. They run all makes of rigs from daily drivers to trailer rigs from Nissan Pathfinders to big dodge ramchargers.

We do have women drivers/guides and they will be doing so. Don't be surprised if your trail leader/tail guide is a woman in a Pathfinder or a big Ramcharger....
