My sister is up in Sonoma county, Rohnert Park to be exact, with my old 91 Blazer. Mild lift with 33x12.5's. She is experiencing some squeaking issues while driving and while braking. Now being that I am 4 hours away I cannot diagnose it over the phone, it always ends badly. So she is in the hunt for a good 4x4 shop, that is fair, honest and reliable. She is asking all of her friends on facebook, but non of them own a blazer, let alone an American 4x4 truck. I was hoping that somebody might know of a good one up there and hopefully point us in the right direction. Thanks Aaron.

I'm in RP, but I usually do all my own work.

However, I do know a guy who I did take my Suburban to when I didn't have time to work on it. I'll check with him & see if he's willing to take a look if you like.

Clay

thanks

That would be awesome if you could get his name and information so I could pass it on to my sister and her fiancee. If its not out of bounds, do you work on other people rigs as well? My sister and her fiancee are not afraid to get there hands dirty and help. They are located in the "L" section of Rohnert Park.

Woah... I'm in B section, just across East Cotati Ave I guess from L section!

Occasionally I have some time to help out others, but with a new to us house and 8 month old I find spare time hard to come by. I certainly wouldn't mind taking a look and seeing if I could help out though!

I'll PM you later with the name & number of the other guy I know, he's in Sebastopol. I wouldn't hesitate to take a rig to him, especially GM, for work. I don't know his schedule though.

How bad could squeaking be right? Maybe just pads? Hubs? Bearings...?

thanks

I'll pass the info on to her, she had a high school friend come over and "fix" it. All I could gather from her is that something needed to be glued. All I could think of is a brake pad falling off of the metal backing.

:eek1:

Yeah, well I was hoping it might be pads as they are cheap and easy... not sure I'd glue one together considering the cost of a new set.

If they still have trouble I'm more than happy to take a look!
